Coughlin was an awful head coach by the time he left the Giants. His last couple of years were pathetic. He went from a guy who was despised by his players for being such a strict disciplinarian ... to a guy who lost all his credibility by letting his players walk all over him.

The players who despised him were the ones who were winning Super Bowls for him.

He should have been fired at least one year -- probably two -- earlier than he was.

I remember another QB from a more obscure school whose name was booed when the Giants picked him. They were roasted all over New York for this horrible pick. Who would waste a first-round pick on this guy? Who is this guy anyway?

No, Haskins has no footspeed and is rather statioary in the pocket. He does have a rifle arm, accurate as well. This may be politically incorrect but Haskins is the opposite of the stereotypical Black QB. I think Jones can be very good but he could have been gotten at 17 with Allen at 6 and they still could have worked a trade for the pick that got them the Georgia CB.
