Then Savage Arms came out with the AccuTrigger in 2002. (I was a beta tester for this trigger and told them I thought it was too fragile and complicated for hunters. Boy, did I blow that one!)
He sure did. I own a Savage Model 110 chambered in .308. It came with a factory installed Nikon BDC scope. Out the door for less than $400 on sale. I have some cartridges I worked up with the 168 grain Sierra Match Kings over 42 grains of Reloader 12.
All I did was give the rifle a good cleaning before hitting the range. Out of the box I put 5 shots inside 3/4 of an inch at 100 yards. Amazing accuracy for that kind of money.
