Snopes fact-checker

The astringently humorless "fact check" squad at Snopes.com just keeps ripping the Babylon Bee website, painting their satire as "misinformation." This time, Ellie Gardey at the Daily Caller forced Snopes to revise their "fact check" and add actual facts.
The Bee was mocking Georgia state Rep. Erica Thomas for claiming a man told her to "go back" to where she came from in the Express Lane at the local Publix supermarket. They inserted the eternally gracious staff at Chick-fil-A into the scene for laughs: “Georgia Lawmaker Claims Chick-Fil-A Employee Told Her To Go Back To Her Country, Later Clarifies He Actually Said ‘My Pleasure.’”
Snopes launched its attack, complaining "We're not sure if fanning the flames of controversy and muddying the details of a news story classify an article as 'satire.'"
The Daily Caller pointed out that Snopes muddied the details, failing to note that Thomas walked back her claims when they were challenged.

As Scott Adams says, one-third of humans do not have a sense of humor.
The creator of the site once called the New Testament an abortion or aberration.
It was a long time ago and I dont remember which word but it was a real slight.
I’ve heard it all now.
I read that Babylon Bee article and not once did I mistake it for news of the real event. Nor would anyone with a brain.
Liberals are humorless drones.
I follow the Bee on Twitter - they’ve been having a field day with this, mocking the inept Snopes every chance they get.
They are hilarious.
Can’t spell Snopes without NOPE. They’ve been carrying the Democrats’ water from the beginning. People used to say, “But you can trust them for non-political fact-checks!” I wouldn’t use them to fact-check if water is wet.

The thought of fact checking satire is in and of itself funny. Maybe Snopes should fact check Gullivers Travels while they are at it.
That they are now "fact checking" a satire site is hysterikcally funny!

My hubby does not understand sarcasm unless explained to him and then he doesn’t understand the purpose. He often says, is this sarcasm.
That would be the democrats.
Wait until they start reviewing SNL WeekEnd Updates fro the last 40+ years! They will have to add extra staff!
Especially the ones with Norm McDonald.
What a miserable existence it would be not to have a sense of humor!
