Yes, I agree with the metaphysical aspect of telling us what they have planned so that we still, in theory, have the ability to utilize free will to reject the Faustian bargain. As our culture degrades and our connections to the Transcendent have become attenuated over the last hundred years (at the very least), our ability as a culture is losing the gift of discernment which is crucial to making the right choice. We need the full armor of God to heighten our perceptions and be aware of what the dark forces are telling us they have planned.
I think that the real danger is not the idle fantasies of such people as Eric Pianka, who advocates using pulmonary ebola to wipe out most of humanity (which shows he knows nothing about ebola); but what happens *after* a *natural* population reduction.
For example, for all their fear of “global warming”, “global cooling”, even modest cooling, is ridiculously more deadly.
So if we are indeed entering a protracted solar minimum, with Earth getting somewhat colder, between the temperature itself and famine resulting from it, perhaps one billion people could die.
And while of course it is important to try and mitigate that, if we assume it happens anyway, *then* we have to be prepared, because these power and money grubbing swine will see that as an opportunity to establish control over everyone else.
*That* will be the time to commit everything we have to stopping them. The body of humanity will be weakened, so the predators will move in to hurt us even more.
Your writer needs to give the context of the quote. With nuclear weapons, it obviously became easier to kill a million people than to control a million people. Whether there’s anything more to the quote than that is hard to say without a citation and the context.
Incrementalism is the most dangerous because we gave too many fools that don’t see the big picture. An outright ban on “assault” rifles or gun registration is too overt.

So, seizing evidence (4th), seizing property w/o compensation (5th) and not knowing the accuser (6th) are in jeopardy here. Even if you don’t have guns, anyone can accuser you of having one and law enforcement could use this as a pretext to launch an investigation.

What he said makes sense if you assume nuclear weapons (or maybe aerial bombardment by conventional weapons), in which case the bodies would be vaporized or exploded. I suspect people are taking what Brzezinski said out of context.
