A former Trump campaign aide who claimed she was “forcibly kissed” by Donald Trump during his presidential bid has dropped her lawsuit over the episode.
Alva Johnson is also dropping another part of her suit that alleged the Trump campaign underpaid women and minority employees.
Johnson’s suit grabbed headlines over her assertion that Trump abruptly kissed her as he was getting ready to make a public appearance at a campaign rally in Tampa, Fla., in August 2016.
However, the outlook for the legal challenge dimmed in July when lawyers for Trump filed with the court and released publicly a video of the encounter.
Trump’s attorneys said the 15-second video, captured on cellphone by another man in the recreational vehicle in which Trump was talking with aides and supporters, showed an unremarkable, brief and friendly greeting that hardly resembled the “battery” Johnson alleged in her suit.
Trump’s lawyers also said the video showed Johnson kissing Trump, rather than the other way around.
Following the emergence of the video, U.S. District Court William Jung suggested he might impose sanctions on Johnson’s attorneys if they proceeded with the aspect of the suit relating to the kiss.

Gee yet another woman lying about an encounter with a powerful man. And trying to use the legal system as a weapon to attack him.
Countersue the b1tch out of existence. It needs to start happening to finally get it through that this lying that has no negative consequences for the liar, is over. And it would also be nice to see the court get tough on it so as to not be idiotically played by liars and used as fools to ruin innocent peoples lives.
There has to be a penalty for this frivolousness.
I see it as the Cloward-Piven approach to campaigning — overload the system with false accusations, tying up lawyers for the other side that would otherwise be available for protecting their candidate from other challenges, such as the numerous Democrat congressional attacks. Much like a filibuster.
In the future you can be the alphabet networks will use this case in a spin campaign saying, for example “....Trump has been sued for harassment xx times since taking office...” — of course without mentioning the dropping of this suit because it was exposed as fraud.

Like the one who waited until just before Election Day 2016 to come out claiming Trump raped her when she was 13. Only to have her case not only laughed out of court but declared frivolous. Now she’s in a nasty trick bag possibly facing 10’s of thousands in legal fees. But that’s what can happen when you have a shyster like Gloria Allred as your mouthpiece. Become your own lawyer and you’ll have a fool for a client. Hire a shyster like Allred and you’ll have a DAMN fool for a client.

It's what they did to Sarah Palin after McCain lost the election and she returned to Alaska to govern—creeps stalked her, someone set fire to her church, and the tolerant left hammered her with petty lawsuits. Then when she resigned rather than deny the state its full access to her as Governor, they shamed her and called her a quitter.
