Hi Laz. Great post. But when confiscation is discussed, by either side, one big question is avoided: how to `operationalize the concept’? How will it be carried out?

It appears that Andrew Duce Cuomo is about to do just that with a `state domestic terrorism’ bill that includes an AWB and the identifying of those who own them (current noncompliance rate with current AWB law = 90%).

Being an old Army guy, I’m used to field orders which spell out in detail how a major operation involving thousands of troops, weapons, and equipment is carried out toward a final objective. No grey areas, no detail overlooked.

Gun grabbers hiss & growl “yes, we’re coming to take your guns!”. They dropped the pretense “nobody’s coming to take away your guns, you paranoid fanatics!”. But they never specify how this is to be accomplished in terms of organizations, chain of command, logistics, collection plans, etc.

In other words, “we’re coming for your guns and this is how we’re going to do it!”

Now they add, “when we come for your guns, you will meekly hand them over”.

Uh....kinda doubt that.

Hi, Laz! Good one.

This one makes exactly the same point:

IMO, yours is better for one reason: it turns your stomach and people OUGHT to feel a little queasy when contemplating what's going to happen if liberals get their way.

Better to die on your feet fighting with a gun, than to die on your knees, begging for mercy.

If we elect Beto - the government won't have to come get our guns.

We will voluntarily hand them over.

Add to that, the dims want to disarm people who are NOT criminals, but won’t lift a finger to disarm gangbangers in dim run cities or illegals and MS-13 types.

if your government wants to take your guns, your government also wants to impoverish you, enslave you, rape you, and kill you.

Leftists have genocide on their minds.

Plan accordingly.

“What about bullets.

Without bullets, guns are paperweights.”

During WW2 the guerrilla fighters in the Philippines scavaged spent brass.
They used powder from captured mortar rounds and artillery shells to provide the bang for the reloaded rounds.
Curtain rods were cut down and filed to fit. The Japanese found those homemade rounds very effective at killing their soldiers.

One guerilla leader proudly reported to a bewildered US Army Colonel “there are no curtain rods in our area. They have all been lovingly given to the Japanese.”

Long way of saying “where there’s a will there’s a way” and “Necessity is the mother of invention”.

Venezuela confiscated private firearms several years ago, so now the government’s thugs can roam the country safely, isn’t that nice?!

The subjects are now doing a fine job at reducing food waste and population reduction that gladdens the hearts of the most fanatic eco-warriors! The major problem now is excess paper scrap as the Bolivars continue to be poor toilet tissue.

All hail the brave Cuban mercenaries who enable the fine dining and restful sleep of the Socialist oligarchy of Venezuela, those compassionate leaders of a people’s paradise on Earth.

Yup, further proof it’s not guns nor the reduction of violence they want. They’re want absolute power over 300 million people, to slaughter those who formerly opposed them and subdue the rest.

My grandfather & family were also from Ukraine (what is now the city of Dnipro). Those were hard times, as I’m sure you heard from your father and grandfather. Human life had no value except if it was yours or that of a loved one or friend. Stalin was a bloody butcher, but he had plenty of help.

No, I will not be disarmed...not until the barrels of a couple of my guns are at a far higher temperature than my cooling body, and then hope that the bastards slip and break some bones on all of the brass surrounding me.

“And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say good-bye to his family?

Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling with terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand?...

The Organs would very quickly have suffered a shortage of officers and transport and, notwithstanding all of Stalin’s thirst, the cursed machine would have ground to a halt! If...if...We didn’t love FREEDOM enough. And even more – we had no awareness of the real situation.... We purely and simply deserved everything that happened afterward.”

Aleksandr I. Solzhenitsyn , The Gulag Archipelago 1918–1956

Thanks for posting - - Worth repeating... for eternity...

Could I suggest that all of you who are willing to refuse confiscation of your weapons exchange mailing addresses? There are no longer safe means for private organizations. Computers, cell phones, are not private. Anytime you use them, even in private messages, they are easily accessible to “authorities”. P.O. Boxes are almost private. In the world today it’s about the only way and that’s not 100%. Also every Freeper is not necessarily who they claim to be. In other words there is no real freedom left. Maybe there never was.

Excellent idea. I will personally visit a state militia member whom I know & ask if this is how the organization maintains contact with its membership.

Years ago Norway was very progressive and had gun registration.

Then Hitler marched in. The first thing they did was go to the town courthouse and find the registrations for the town, go to the homes, round up the guns and the men in those homes to question them.

Of course, Norway is so progressive that they still have gun registration.

Once the government tries to take the guns...it will cease to exist.

Nice to see you, Duncan.

When the government comes to our homes to take our guns, we won’t be home...
We’ll be at their house.

I think that you are correct there, Mr. Code.

One thing for sure, if they do it like they did in in Germany in the thirties, it won’t be a social call. When they leave, they will take you or the gun[s] they were after with them. To them, it won’t matter which. The “I lost them in a boating accident” or “the dog ate them” excuse, won’t work.
