Following a violent crime spree in Minneapolis, Lt. Bob Kroll blamed the city's "ultra-left agenda" for emboldening criminals and claimed the city council refuses to provide them with the extra police they need to keep the community safe.
"The city council... ran on an anti-police agenda and they all made it. It's ultra-left. It's been [an] extreme Democrat-controlled council," he said on "Fox & Friends" Thursday. "It's been that way for 22 years. And [the mayor] didn't think he could get a larger number [of cops] through."
"It's an ultra-left agenda that the police are the problem," Kroll added. "[They say] it's a racially biased criminal justice system here, and we need to de-police. That's the overtone of our council."
The crime spree included savage mob-style beatings that were caught on camera, as victims tried to defend themselves from being robbed.
Kroll said Mayor Jacob Frey only suggested bringing in 14 additional officers after 400 were requested and defended the city's police chief, whose plan was rejected by local lawmakers.

They don’t need more cops.
It doesn’t matter how many arrests you make, if the perp gets out immediately on a plea bargain. They need more prosecutors and prison space, plus ICE becoming more active in deporting bad guys who are not citizens.

I don’t know what they are crying about. The city council ran on an Anti Police Agenda. The voters approved because they were elected. If they want to allow the criminals to bust their heads and take their property, well it is their heads and their property.
Here’s what the Mayor of Minneapolis is offering as a solution to the crime problem.
“Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey is proposing to eliminate cash bail for many low-level offenses in the city, saying the current setup is unfair to low-income people.
Frey’s 2020 budget includes $100,000 to hire a social worker to create so-called “release plans” for people arrested on misdemeanor crimes. Frey said he expected the one-year pilot program would help 1,000 people and predicted that it would work so well, it would expand statewide.”

I wonder how some of these Democrat run cities even have police. Why would anyone choose to be a cop, or remain on the force in that city, under those conditions?

I used to bicycle a lot through Minnecraponus, with a 40 mile ride from Eagan to Hopkins and back, or 75 miles to Victoria. I haven’t been back there in 8 years. I would likely be robbed by the Minnecraponus Mujahedeen.

Sickening videos out of Minneapolis lately of bunches of youths attacking others - jumping on the chests and riding over them with bicycles once the victims were down - attackers were black - attackees white - but of course these weren’t hate crimes - merely attempts to take their money and phones - don’t think I’ll visit there soon......
I’m 20 minutes south of there and I never visit.
Should be entertaining when the Twins start the playoffs. There’ll be lots of targets with lots of money walking around downtown.
