The first question you have to ask yourself is what you hope to gain by putting a government target on your back, and those in your family. In 1997 I hosted a national militia meeting on my property in Texas; it was a large encampment of militia leaders and members from all over the country. We even made the cover of Time Magazine as a “militia hotspot.” What was the goal of this get-together?
Now back to the purpose of the meeting. Militia leaders were being picked off by the federales via entrapment schemes similar to what happened to Randy Weaver in Idaho. Government informants joined these groups and set up the leaders by doing things such as planting explosive devices (pipe bombs) on militia leader’s property to be “discovered” during federal raids. Other informants acted as instigators (our Texas group had one) prodding leaders and members into taking action that would unnecessarily put the unit in danger (physical and legal), and in a bad light to the public. Some informants got militia members on tape talking about planning illegal activities (this was actually a lot of empty bullshit boasting).

I was in a gun shop recently where a couple of these guys were sitting, talking about what they were going to do.
I took one look at them and saw that they should mobilize to their home. They would not be able to hump a rucksack to the end of their drive way.

Most Texans I know are strong enough to exercise self-control and not allow themselves to be instigated.

The head of security of “Elohim City” (which was maybe 5 dilapidated trailers) was FBI, as was the FOUNDER, it later turned out.
Good article, and yes, I wouldn’t put it beyond the Fed Gov to do what is described in the article. Anymore, they aren’t your friends.

Good article. But you know what would be cool? If the Government didn’t act in a manner that made people think this way. Even as recently as the 1970s, if a normal person told you they were prepping and expecting a civil war, or zombie apocalypse, etc... you would have edged away, thinking them to be unbalanced.
Now you hear it said by otherwise high functioning people.
And it’s all because the government, and the generation set to take over in a few years is passionate in their hatred of us and anything they identify with normal America.
We The People are the true militia. Some of us have more skills than others.
No “organizations”.
Family and life long friends only.
Stay below the radar in everything you do.
Never, ever speak to anyone about what you could or want to do in the future or the circumstances that may bring that about.
Or be stupid. Your choice.

You absolutely nailed it. And yes, people are arming up and buying weapons and ammo as fast as they can go. And, they're not members of any "group".
So many ways exist to do what is necessary without a gun.

I can and have hit “The X ring with the first sighted” at 600 yards. My level of fitness had very little to do with it.
For about ten years I did a lot of High Power Rifle. One of the best shooters I saw was a very obese woman. When she did “seated rapid fire” it was like the rifle was in a vise.
More proof that Stalin was right. All power emanates from the barrel of a gun and our own federal, state and local governments use this fact on a daily basis to entramp, control, imprision or kill the people.
