Probably around 1990, in NYC, drug addicts would dig up shrubberies and other plants from homeowners’ yards, and ransom them back.
I would have figured out a way to safely plant poison ivy, myself, and tell the bums to “keep and enjoy it”.

Also, girls in nice dresses at bars is entrapment.
Putting a Trump sign in your yard is entrapment.
Parking your ‘65 Corvette Convertible anywhere is clearly entrapment.
Of course.
How about don’t tresspass and steel?

How the hell is putting your own bike in front of your own house ‘entrapment’ ?
To: lowbridge
Is that wrong? I guess that’s wrong...or at least it’s wrong if you get caught.

I’d rather be a common thief myself, than a sadist and attention whore at the same time. Very bad combination.

There are plenty of bait bike videos on YouTube but normally it involves about 50 feet of chain attached to the bike, enough for the thief to get a good bit of speed before the chain reaches the end. Baseball bats are creative one upmanship. Stupid but creative.

I shouldn’t have to change my habits because others can’t behave.

You make it a habit of routinely beating up people so you can YouTube it?
Cause that’s what’s happening here.

Parking your own bicycle on your own real estate is not entrapment.
To: lowbridge
I can see the State Game Commission having a problem with this.
Baiting is against the law after all.

What is it called when people leave their property unattended with the intent of assaulting would-be thieves?

The problem is that we want the government to have a monopoly on the use of force. These people will be made sorry.

Police say videos of the assaults were posted on YouTube. In the videos, police say the suspects appeared to plant a bicycle in the front yard of their home, unattended, and wait for someone passing by to stop and attempt to steal it. When someone would try to make off with the bike, the suspects would rush from the house and assault the person with a baseball bat. sounds like a typical lawful FBI sting operation.
