'Out of context': AOC backtracks on claim climate change will end world in 12 years (only 11.06 years left)

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez criticized Sen. Rand Paul after he claimed she said the world would end in 12 years if nothing is done about climate change.

"Hey Senator! Would you like me to also take your comments out of context and pose them as your earnest position, as you have chosen to do with me?" the New York Democrat wrote Wednesday. "I assume the answer is yes, especially given that the GOP climate agenda is about as fictional as Spaceballs anyway."

Paul, 57, attacked Ocasio-Cortez's position on climate change earlier in the day. "No @AOC the world will not end in 12 years but we must, absolutely must do something, over the next 500 million years," he tweeted. "Some say we should develop a space shield to protect us from the sun’s increased luminosity. I’m not against that but it will only be a temporary respite maybe a few million years. I do think we should also begin genetically altering O2 producing organisms to send to Saturn’s Titan and possibly the closest planets outside of our solar system. What say you AOC?"

Yeah, she’s learned from her fellow travelers that when you project some apocalyptic event — that only you and your fellow commie travelers can solve — it needs to be around 30-40 years in the future. 12 years is too close in - and you’ll end up getting easily mocked. So AOC changes the ‘context’ of her definition of 12 years. She really meant ‘12 years from today’ - and today is always moving forward (at least until we run into the Real Global Warming event of 2 Peter 3:10).

All the climate change alarmism comes from the left. Your "12 years" was not an obvious joke, any more than it was an obvious joke for the visitor's center sign in Glacier National Park to say that its glaciers would disappear by 2020 due to climate change.

The horrible fact remains, that a whole generation of youths w/ cellphones have taken that statement of “12 Years”, repeated it on Twitter + Instagram + spread it throughout the world as FACT.
