I understand what they did was unethical, but the vindictive hatred for Lori Laughlin and the deep craving to see her utterly destroyed is interesting.

Parents have been buying their kids way into collages since the idea of collage was invented.
They just didn't do it the way the really rich do it. They didn't fund a building for the collage. That is perfectly acceptable.
And as to why there is such hate for her, she worked for Hallmark. And the left hates Hallmark. They are "Trump's America". No, I am not kidding. They actually said that.
And we do have some VERY sleazy universities in this country.
There are a handful that are making big time money rubber-stamping F1 OPT work visas for foreign students.
One of the biggest offenders is Campbellsville Univ. in Kentucky. Foreign kid enrolls in class there and they rubber-stamp a work permit. Then he takes a job in Silicon Valley. Takes the classes online. University gets the tuition.
We need to issue visas to people to take online classes WHY, exactly?
Yeah. That does not seem to trouble the liberal drum beaters.
Wonder why?
If I was a juror in this case I would acquit on principle. The notion that anything these people did constitutes a Federal crime is an ‘effing disgrace.
I went to the local community college full-time nights, and worked full-time days to start pursuing my education. I was around 30 at the time, divorced with two sons. Never had to take any exams to enter. Just paid my tuition...graduated with a 4-year degree with honors, and eventually finished with an MA. Never used my degrees to land a job, as I already had a good-paying job with New York State. I basically did it to see if I could do it. I was the only person in my family to have ever gone to college.
A. ... went this far

B. ... is still going.
The school system is designed to formulate socialist lefties and with all of its clout, the left can't protect a useful freshman idiot ?

They've managed to do a good job of getting the right to hate them too, airing and ad that features lesbians kissing. It wasn't just the ad, it was the fact that they initially said they were going to pull it, then caved in the other direction. I only watched two programs on that channel..."The Good Witch" and "When Calls the Heart", and I've taken them both off my list of recordings.
Maybe somebody in government sees big $$$ in Lori Loughlin-produced license plates for celebrity limos?

I know- it’s unreal- meanwhile- in NY- an arsonist was caught, jailed, then released WITHOUT bail and in days he raped a 14 year old girl- where’s the outrage by the left over that asinine no bail law in NY now? I will say however, a news station that looked to be liberal, was pretty outraged- calling the law stupid basically- and stating ‘if it hadn’t have been for the law, the arsonist would have been in jail and the girl would be unharmed today’

Obviously true, but there are plenty on this site who carry the same deep hatred that any Democrat would have for her or Hallmark.
So she is still "evil".
Not that caving actually does anything to change their mind about you. Everything you do will still be put under the microscope for signs that you are still not as pure as they would like and they will find something. It is impossible to meet their standards. And if you manage to do so the standards will change.
That’s pretty much my take on it too.
I do believe Lori deserves a penalty for what happened, but a long prison sentence in a time when we don’t even have bail for serious crimes any longer, seems absurd.
Her association with Hallmark may be part of the liberal hate but conservatives are angry with her, too. I couldn’t stand her back during the original Full House days. Easy to see through her holier than thou facade. Who’s deserving child got bumped out of a desk because of her?
Her dragging this out isn’t helping her image. If she’d turned on the water works at the beginning and pinky swore she’d never do it again, she might have got community service and this would be forgotten by now.
