The target audience for that review is the loyal Star Wars fan base, to which I do not belong. I thought the first film was quite good, but I gave up after two sequels.

I'm sure I would agree with the reviewer about the Supergirl finale. No PC for me. Lecture someone else.

"Fight Club" is also in that category -- a movie about what happens when men get sufficiently alienated from society, that they will bring it all down and laugh at the crash.

Excuse my ignorance, but is the film in any way a spin off from the Batman series?

The Arthur Fleck "Joker" character is not the same Joker who tangles with Batman. The movie takes place when Bruce Wayne is a young child, and Joaquin Phoenix's character is in his 40's.

It's left open as to whether he inspired the later Batman Joker.

Thanks for the replies. I thought there would probably be some connection to Batman, but hadn't seen an explanation so far. Think I'll probably have to see it at some point.

It was good but no one will do the role like Heath Ledger did it.

And I saw ithe for free via the Internet. Most movies are out on the net within 3 weeks of release.
