From the Album "Come Together, America Salutes the Beatles"
One of the best CCM artist does a great job on this song!

It’s a sin the criticize the Beatles. So I will sin boldly: the Beatles, overloved, have a strange way of turning their love into unbelief.
This prompted Julian to criticize his father. I’m sure he wasn’t referred to his father’s musical talent.
Is it a sin to criticize Phil Keaggy?
Not bad, but people who hear voices in their heads should avoid it.
“Im sure he wasnt referred to his fathers musical talent.”
When somebody is the most famous and successful musician of the 20th century, every weakness and every foible will be exposed to everybody. He was not inculcated with faith or belief in anything as a child.
He’s a real nowhere man
Sitting in his nowhere land
Making all his nowhere plans
For nobody
Doesn’t have a point of view
Knows not where he’s going to
Isn’t he a bit like you
And me
Amazing the nobody in the modern world can read those words without actually hearing the song in their head.
John Lennon was a highly flawed person and a poseur where it came to the peace stuff, but he was a great singer and wrote a bunch of great songs.
Good perspective. He also had a good sense of humor and would probably have hated PC culture.
Actually, he knows how to peddle pedestrian in between some fascinating work (Wind and the Wheat, Underground). Now he works by himself in performing, so he's become a looper. Evangelical soft makes him OK with the Beatles, and when his voice doesn't sound like McCartney, it's Bonny Raitt.
How's that for starters?
Well, yes. That too is an old familiar tune. But what they were singing was realism to a fault. You pay to play.
Lot of respect for Keaggy. He is a Guitarist. Capital G.
A local legend dating back to Glass Harp.
I detest their music, in general.
“He’s a god!”
Didn’t he do a stint with Steve Vai? He wore a top hat that made him look like the Mad Hater from Alice in Wonderland and he and Vai would prance up and down the stage doing double guitar harmonies? Incidentally, Steve is a god too... but for all his pyrotechnics he writes terrible, unmemorable guitar pieces.
Just kidding...I love PK.
Love me some Phil ... Have to see if he’s going to be making it to TX sometime this year.
[snip] I remember seeing the Dick Cavett show where Jimi Hendrix said about Phil that Phil was...’the best up-and-coming guitarist right now.’” [/snip]

BTW, we can’t work it out, the Demagogic Party must be destroyed.
Sorry, I got Phil Keaggy mixed up with Mike Keneally. It must be the four letter first name with a double letter and y last name. But surprising they both have played together on an album called “Reflections - An Act Of Glass.”
