Geez, Microsoft. As someone who has used Windows continuously for over 30 years, this is not a happy place to be.

I’m sticking with Windows 7 until they pry it from my cold dead hands.

One of these is probably why I’ve been having to enter my password twice to boot up on my company laptop.

One of these is probably why Ive been having to enter my password twice to boot up on my company laptop. Nothing would surprise me any more about these updates. It's discouraging.

I am running an Intel NUC7i5BNH computer and did not encounter issues with this update. Hmmm.... 🤷♂️

Directly under that Forbes article is a link to an article “Which Linux Distro Should I Use”.

I’ve been “test driving” different flavors of Linux on another computer here at my home desk for the last 10 years or so.
It wouldn’t take much more than a gentle nudge for me to wipe this hard drive clean and install Linux Mint on it.
My attitude toward Microsoft has been steadily going downhill ever since they decided that we no longer own our operating systems. “Windows is a service” BS.
Constant screw-ups in their patches is getting rather tiresome.

Im sticking with Windows 7 until they pry it from my cold dead hands. This is my last weekend with it. My company has been after me since January and I've given excuses, but now more or less I have no choice. It will be done while I'm out of the office on Tuesday so I don't know what I'll have when I return.

Me , too . Both my desktops are Windows 7 . Curious - what browser are you using ? Also - have you ever had an issue with Nvidia ? Started a while back but getting worse recently . Every day - sometimes a few times a day , especially when watching Youtube , “ I lose vidoe and “Nvidia Windows Kernel Mode Driver Stopped Responding “message ( in Japanese ) appears . Eventually I can access the video again but it’s getting to be a pain in the a** .

One more reason I shut off my Windows Update long before they stopped supporting my Windows 7. This seems to be a regular occurrence of theirs with Windows 10.
