I heard they had $54M so why can’t they pay their own guards?-)

How will that happen?
The Acts of Succession determine that, succession. Despite what you may see on the front pages of the tabloids at the supermarket.

My guess would be that he gets a quick turn so they can claim the tradition remained intact - then he will find an excuse to turn things over to his more mature son. Besides Kate is the real prize.

Hmmm. No, I think it was all Me-again’s idea. A few weeks ago, The Telegraph stated in an article, that Me-again never even bothered to bring her clothes from Toronto to Britain. She just put them in storage. When my husband and I were married we had no real money, but I put my prized possessions (record albums, clothes, picture albums.....I was young) in a Steamer Trunk and paid to ship it to Britain. It took 8 weeks to get there, but those things were comporting to me as we couldn’t afford to come back to the USA for a vacation. (Wages are really low in Britain, compared to here)

Me-again (or rather Harry) could afford to ship ALL her stuff AND to come back for visits (which she famously did, spending LOTS of money to do so), yet she left all her clothes in storage in Toronto? A set-up from the get-go.

Quite likely true, but Charles would not be the first less than cherished prince to claim a throne based on the right of inheritance instead of merit. Indeed, it can even be said that to consider anything other than priority of inheritance would set in motion the unravelling of the entire system of monarchy.

She likely put ‘her’ clothes in storage because she was off to a brand new fashion wardrobe in Britain...paid for!

Why should Canada, or any country, pay for these ‘royals’ security? It’s the Brits mess. Let them clean it up. Just dump all this king, queen, royal crap, move on already.

Except that's not exactly correct. While Canada may be a separate country with all the governing stuff, they still recognize the Monarchy of England as their 'rulers'.
