I had a decent number of those, too, back when I was young. I made butter by accident the first time, thinking I'd whip cream in my blender. What fun! What wonderful butter! A few minutes in the blender, dump the lump into a strainer & squeeze out the watery stuff. But make & repair clothing definitely goes on that list! I always did that. Your spinning & weaving efforts are great. About firewood, I got too old & weak for the Monster Maul 20 years ago. Near 80 now. We do what we can. ☺

Think of the benefit to others if you had an “about page”.

I make a posting for the benefit of FReepers once a month on the first of the month. That's as about as I'm going to get. I also answer PMs.

I saw that! I have 6 or 7 of them in my bookcase. Making Cheese, Root Cellar, Building a Cold Frame...Love them! :)

One reason I’m planning on a masonry stove in the house I’m building, it runs best on small-diameter wood such as twigs. I can cut my firewood with pruning shears instead of an ax or maul.

Oh, that does sound nice! Many improvements I’ve heard of since I had to leave my little home in the boonies and move to a city with hospitals, taxi cabs, tow trucks, etc. Cuz what I miss the most about that life (since I Can garden here) is my wonderful big warm wood-burning stove.

Oh, and I still miss my chickens. They were fun.
