Ice cream lickers, the Pakistani in Italy that refused quarantine and infected hundreds, the Korean church leadership, the Chinese spitting on doorknobs to infect people... etc, etc, etc, etc. Yeah, one example. Your ego is too big and you think you are smarter than other people. You are not.

Ideologues twist themselves into pretzels to preserve their way of being; their way of thinking. Twist away doc.

Ok, well I am glad you are the referee and can declare unilaterally your position to be correct. You are right — I see your brilliance, the immediate denial of liberty without due process because YOU have decided makes you win the argument. Tell me what grounds should we accept for the denial of liberty. I find that YOUR spreading of false information is against the public health, perhaps I can involuntarily detain you until I am satisfied your behavior is appropriate — sounds like a paradise. Might I suggest a flight to North Korea — I understand they have no cases and can incarcerate people anytime they want. Sounds like paradise for you.

I don’t think I am smarter than other people. I am certain I am smarter than you. Please answer my four questions posted above to you. Obviously you are afraid to answer them as it exposes you for whom you are.

Just in case you forgot...

1. Do you believe that this behavior in your video you have shared is prevalent?
2. What is your solution to what this person has done?
3. Can you protect yourself without deciding who should be locked up?
4. Are you more independent if you protect yourself or if you toss this guy in quarantine — which by the way — you are advocating against his will which means he is incarcerated.

Let the world know who you are. I am certain anyone reading my posts understands that I value liberty over tyranny.

Chicoms did their best not to warn their people
American media say we all are going to die from it.

Some know how to handle the flu.

I tend to agree with you as the people are being alerted enough to encourage practicing smarter behavior because of the overwhelming sensationalism.

It does seem though that a lot of people here on freerepublic.com seem to want to promote anxiety and fear as some sort of ultimate virtue throughout all this.

That is really annoying and, it makes me want to slap them upside the head.

It’s just something that seems to be a very common part of our snowflake culture of this day.

Emote, emote, emote.

1) yes, prevalent enough to be very consequential. see 141
2) lock his ass up.
3) short of a BSL4 suit, no. Even then no.
4) Incarcerate or forced quarantine if you will for 2 weeks until he is no longer infectious.

I interviewed over 30 doctors before settling on my current one. He doesn’t have the God complex a few more years of formal education seems to give people in your profession. You know a lot about a very limited area. Most of the doctors I sat down with were studious idiots, narcissists and their high opinions of their intellects were wholly undeserved.

10th allows for State forced quarantines. Feds can not do it.

Has been interpreted thusly: “Under the rights of Due Process, public health regulations used to impose such conditions can’t be ‘arbitrary, oppressive and unreasonable”

You are a libertarian whether you know it or not. It can be very appealing but the foundation is flawed.

—even though most Americans weren’t aware—

“That is just not true.”

I meant on the nature of CV19. Many are still in the dark, so what’s coming will shock them.

“You seem to believe, or at least give the impression, that the president can flip a switch and the resources are available.”

The time to flip any switches was months ago.

“the H1N1 swine flu”

That you are unaware of the difference between that outbreak and the current one just underscores my point above about Many Americans being unaware of the nature of CV-19.
For a quick course, look at China, look at Italy - and Europe, for that matter. We’re talking about a nation-killer - it’s almost felled China, the 2nd greatest economy in the world. Only through the most severe and extreme of tactics did China survive, so far.
Political posturing, spin and blame-shifting doesn’t change the reality. Watch and see.

Interviewed 30 doctors....probably until you could find the mamby pamby to placate your clearly overly needy issues and not challenge your fragile view with the facts. Glad you want to lock his ass up. And I am glad you are able to tell me what my political flavor is. Again, expert in everything you are. But like your ilk, you are often wrong, though never in doubt.

At this point no one really knows. That is why there are guesses being made all over the map.

The time to flip any switches was months ago.

There are no switches. Thanks to the CDC being totally unprepared to ramp up efforts in a rapid fashion, which is their function and purpose for existing, remains to be answered why this was the case. As I alluded, the CDC had run the agency off its rails getting involved in nonsense they had no business getting involved in. Was it over reliance in China providing things we needed, or was it red tape that hindered it? CDC needs to answer for their shortcomings.

That you are unaware of the difference between that outbreak and the current one just underscores my point above about Many Americans being unaware of the nature of CV-19.

They are both viruses, and they share most symptoms. Yeah look at the numbers, I agree. So far flu viruses kill more people in this country, as well as, worldwide every year than this virus has killed so far, worldwide. Flu viruses also kill more children than this virus has killed. The number of flu cases each season dwarf this virus thus far. Both are fast spreaders. So yeah there are distinctions, but the similarities as to how they attack a human exist as well. So they are flu like in many aspects, even cold like in some aspects. Most of the confirmed cases have been the more severe cases. Does this virus cause mild cases in some people. No one knows for sure, but I venture to guess is some people do get milder versions, or their immune system makes is milder for them. As I stated before the average age of those who succumbed to this virus in this country is 80. But don't go thinking you have the answers, because you don't. too little in known at this point even among the "experts" in the field. One thing that causes heightened alarm ifs the fact that there is no vaccine yet. But I'll bet there is before the next season if this virus even is a recurring virus.

I can't really look at China, who claims to not have had a new case now for days, because they are not a forthcoming regime. Looking at Italy I know that their median age in almost a full 10 years older than the U.S., which means they ave a lot more people who are older, percentage wise. In addition the size of Italy is about 2.2 times Florida, and their infections & deaths seem to be far more extensive in the northern half than the southern half. Is that because the older population is more concentrated in the northern half of the country? South Korea seems to have gotten a handle on their outbreak of this virus. They are a much smaller country, so that makes getting a handle on things easier. Still they had more than twice the infected, yet only a few more deaths than this country. Why is that? Their median age is higher than that of the U.S. so perhaps the fact that their population size is about 1/6 our population has something to do with it, along with a much smaller logistics situation we have in this country.

So in the final analysis, I personally do not see what exactly is gained by examining different countries, for there are questions not really clear cut as to why South Korea has had more than twice the number of infections, yet experienced only a few more deaths. Is it a case of logistics or something else? Though logistics may be the answer in their case. Italy's issue may have been the wide open borders and waiting too long before they put restrictions in place. Too soon to tell, and time may not expose the truths anyway. Conclusions will be made, that is for certain, but can the accuracy of those conclusions be viewed as gospel? That to will vary from country to country.

Folks don’t understand that if this goes on for just a few weeks thousands and thousands of small businesses will fold and the 2nd quarter we will be in a recession.

Excellent point. For all this virtue signaling "If one life is saved..." there's a real cost to these measures.

Many, many more people will be negatively affected by the economic dislocations that ever would have been killed by the virus. Suicides, heart problems, etc.

Seroconversion rate has questionable value for this novel virus which has residues from purportedly 3 species of virus if the furin user residues identical to HIV and ebola are to be believed..as well as the SARS spike and an original report noted chimeric spikes of MErV as well dpp 4 and ACE 2..if you read much research on genetic engineering you will note that scientists have been concerned for years about the chinese reckless use of the CRSPR and a SARS escapee was reported briefly in 2017..the hybrid monkey pig and the genetic perfect baby as well as the attempt to make multivalent vaccines such as rabies and bat MERV are troubling to say the least..these papers are at pub med and are all authored by chinese..so IMHO regular view of this pathogen inciting a normal immunity curve over time will probably not be true..The micrograph show copious viral release and autoantibodies to asialo orthmuccinoids and a CNS glycoprotein as well as the long incubation with viral shed until not ambulatory.Plus its ability to infect a week after the MERV patient left th he hospital via fomite trasfer..see paper of from S Korea 2014.is a bad trait.and the derangement of the immune system which includes no permanent immunity and immunopathology T2 with eosinophila.upon secondary challenge.the typical midstage are lab results show huge interlukin 6 values and an initial leukopenia that make this a immunological nightmare..it just isn’t a normal virus so I respectfully disagree ..and people can be reinforced those papers are out there..this is after all a cold virus..but the second time can trigger the immunopathology..people keep saying its mild in 85 percent of the cases..true enough although many more european cases are seemingly severe and all ages over puberty are effected severely..

But what about reinfection?? That alone should negate glee from the 85 percent who aren’t old farts or sickly celebrating too soon..and got over this quick or so they thought...
