I liked the dramadies from the 70s like The Rockford Files and Emergency!
A great mixture of seriousness and frivolity.

I watched SWAT on my local Fox station during 1980s...I am talking about SWAT made during 1970s...With Robert Urich and Steve Forrest...
“I tried watching but after 15 minutes of one episode I gave up.”
same here ... it was one of the stupidest, lamest tv shows i ever tried to watch ... it was actually episode one i tried to watch and i didn’t last beyond 10 minutes ... in fact, it was so bad, i never watched another scripted network TV show after that ...
A favorite kid’s show of mine.
I have the DVDS around. There is a board game based on the show. I got one of Ebay for very little. Ditto a Kojak version.
The new ones just don’t the vibe of the old ones. I tried H50 for a while but the characters didn’t have enough comradery. Couldn’t watch but a few minutes of the new Magnum. Sorry, it just doesn’t work at all without the original cast.
Thinking about it, my viewing tapered off to a stop shortly after it was apparent that McBride was staying. Usually like his acting, but the character didn’t really add to the series, imo.

I had no problem with McBride character...
I guess the main thing, that I liked about HAWAII FIVE O, was the action...Not really acting...
He was the first actor to play Felix Leiter, the CIA agent who pops up occasionally in Bond films. Most Bond aficionados consider Lords portrayal to be the definitive Leiter, though he only played the role once.

I liked David Hedison as Leiter...
