Top Sanders advisers urge him to consider ending run
Boston Globe via MSN ^ | 4/04/20 | Sean Sullivan

A small group of Bernie Sanders' top aides and allies - including his campaign manager and his longtime strategist - have encouraged the independent senator from Vermont to consider withdrawing from the presidential race, according to two people with knowledge of the situation.

The group includes campaign manager Faiz Shakir and Rep. Pramila Jayapal, D-Wash., a top Sanders surrogate and ally, according to the people, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe sensitive private discussions.

Sanders himself has become more open to the prospect of dropping out, according to one of the people with knowledge of the situation and another close ally, especially if he suffers a significant defeat in Tuesday's Wisconsin primary, which polls suggest Joe Biden will win handily.

Beyond Shakir and Jayapal, longtime strategist Jeff Weaver has privately made a case that exiting the race more quickly and on good terms with Biden would give Sanders more leverage in the long run, according to one of the people; the other said Weaver has used a light touch in presenting his case. Weaver and Jayapal did not return calls and messages seeking comment. Shakir declined to comment.

Bern has the bully pulpit inside the Dem party.

The Bern would be crazy to give it up.He could be a running mate for Cuomo, or the ultimate broker at the convention. The Biden elder abuse DNC doesn’t want that.

Biden has worked his way successfully under the Demoncrap bus.

HANG IN THERE BERN!

Biden is OLD, there has to be at least a 1% chance that he will drop dead or get VERY sick at any time. That’s a better % than Kasich or Ron Paul had in the end of their runs.

Would his rabid followers allow him to drop out, or would they turn on him? After all, free stuff doesn’t just grow on trees , does it?

No way, delegate count isn’t over unless your following the media narrative.

Oh, no, Bernie, say it ain’t so!

We were hoping you would hold out until the first full vote by the DNC at the National Convention (now postponed until August), then use your influence to sort of wag the dog and get Joe (or whoever) to make the final decision to go all-out “Green New Deal” and surrender to Islam their whole platform.

Terrified of success, that’s what they are.

He’ll take a buyout but short of that he’ll keep running because his run is about moving the democrats left not about winning the nomination. Never was

His whole “Healthcare is a fundamental ‘uman right” shtick has been rendered even more ridiculous by the virus. Reality has chopped him at ballzones. He’s got nothing else to offer.

Whatever the Democrats chose to do will fail, they can’t help but to do the wrong thing at every turn because they hate America.

If Sanders drops out that leaves Biden alone in the race to accumulate enough state delegate votes so when the convention is held, under their rules they must give Biden the number of votes he won during the nomination battle which means he must be the candidate even if he is droolng on himself and has taken up residence in a nursing home by then. Not a bad scenario for Trump or congressional Republicans running for reelection.

You should see some of the posts in TWITSter. They say the reason Canada and Cuba infection rate is low is because of the superiority of Socialized medicine. Sedation is causing an epidemic of leftist insanity!
