“ Artemisinin is a natural product derived from the Chinese herb Artemisia annua (figure 1). During the Vietnam War, Ho Chi Minh asked Mao Zedong for help, because more North Vietnamese soldiers were dying from malaria than from armed conflicts. The Chinese government launched a program to find new antimalarial drugs. As a result, Tu Youyou, a Chinese scientist from the Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine (Beijing, China), identified artemisinin as the active compound of A. annua in 1972 [1]. Its overwhelming antimalarial activity was demonstrated in numerous clinical studies by Chinese and Western scientists. Despite this success, the true potential of artemisinin was underestimated in the Western world for many years [2]. In the meantime, the World Health Organization officially recommends artemisinin and its derivatives, such as artesunate and artemether, for the treatment of malaria, particularly as a part of combination therapies with other antimalarial drugs.”

I ran across Dr. Ban Truong’s youtube channel. Maybe he’s been mentioned here but I haven’t seen it. He shares a lot of his experiences treating patients with hydroxychloroquine + Zpack. His treatment also includes supplements: Vitamin C 2000 mg, Vitamin D3 5000 IU, Zinc 15 mg and Copper 1 mg.
Here’s a link to one of his case studies videos and there are several others related to this type of treatment. He talks about his own experience having hepatitis at the beginning and how that made him empathize with his COVID-19 patients which was somewhat interesting but you can skip ahead if you want to get to the COVID-19 content. His videos are the most content I’ve seen from someone treating patients with hydroxychloroquine + azithromycin. He uses doxycycline for some patients. Less zinc than Zelenko but he seems to think the lower amount is enough.

Very positive news out of New York this morning with lower hospitalizations etc. Deaths are up but that is a lagging indicator. I think this shows the public health steps are working along with the use of drugs.
