I bought a containerized home UV-C sterilizer for the box of N95 masks my wife and I use. They're available from Amazon.

People, it is very important both that you use a UV-C sterilizer, and that it be a container large enough to fit an N95 mask rather than an unexposed light. Only UV-C light uses the frequencies which kill viruses, but UV-C light will damage your vision so it must be in a closed container with the mask.

Some of that stuff was outsourced so long ago nobody here remembers how to do it.

example, clothing manufacturing.

Sure, there are one off places that do it here.

40 years ago there were votech programs at nearly every rural high school that taught clothing construction. My own high school had such a program.

There were manufacturing facilities all around the country that did piecework for Sears, Penneys, Macys, Bloomingdales,... my town had a factory that did piecework for Sears.

There were a LOT of women, then, over 20 who knew how to operate a sewing machine. W/o being taught in order to ‘get’ the job.

We no longer teach sewing machine operations. At all.

We teach how to put condoms on a cucumber, and mentally XY can really BE women.

It will require a Marshall plan to bring most of that stuff back.

And that will be a LOT of money.

MUCH easier said than done.

Do you really think Millenials will sit, cpl hundred to a facility, and sew shirt sleeves or collars for $12/hr? We’ll see I guess...

Fury, blacks are much more likely to die of CV19 once they catch it because its primary killing effect is on the oxygen-carrying capability of blood. This effect is especially lethal in victims who have sickle-cell anemia, and probably any anemia condition. Blacks tend to have more sickle-cell anemia than any other group.

OTOH, blacks are much less likely to catch CV19 because they tend to have fewer ACE receptors.

Interestingly enough, my friend tells me she can’t get ahold of her contact on the mainland. The phone numbers she has for her ring off the wall and nobody answers. Not even an answering machine anymore.

This lady was her point person for the manufacturing for the past nearly 15 years.

Has no idea what happened to this lady. She met her at an industry function (market, either in dallas or atlanta) back in the early 00’s.

Is she dead? Sick? Did she lose her phone? No idea.

Scary, actually.

IMO he/she was probably black with sickle-cell anemia. 90+% of carrier crews are under 40 years old.

South Korea will begin sending Covid-19 testing kits to the US as soon as tomorrow afternoon, an official with South Korea’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs told CNN.

Earlier today, Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha said in an interview with France 24 said the country will send 600,000 test kits to the US. It is unclear how many kits of the 600,000 could be sent tomorrow.

Thanks again for the post.

My perineal issue with the breakdown (medical establishment) of disorders is that they are all related to insulin sensitivity. Every one shown is reversible with dietary intervention (low carb, low seed oil) and proper sleep. There are always a few exceptions, however we are well within the 80/20 rule range (probably much greater).

The term pre-diabetes is particularly disturbing. It strikes me as establishment gas lighting. There is no such thing. It is "Diabetes In Situ."

Kind.

But a travesty we still can’t apparently make enough on our own.

HFCS is not really that much different than sugar in glucose and fructose composition.

The fructose satiety mechanism has been examined:

Fructose and Satiety

Fructose may be particularly problematic, however carbohydrates generally alter satiety signals based on insulin levels.

I haven't examined it closely enough yet, but it is possible glucose will have less of a longterm impact when consumed in a time restricted eating manner. Glucose is metabolized differently than fructose.

What is the Difference Between Glucose and Fructose Metabolism

Glucose levels in the blood are still tightly regulated, hence excess glucose consumption will require storage and regulation within adipose.

Agreed.

One other comparison used is Iceland. Not really comparable to the US since the primary fat and protein sources are fish. The same thing, much lower processed and carbohydrate intake.
