One of my favorites is “Two Mules for Sister Sarah.”

I am still surprised that his R. Jewell movie didn’t do better at the box office. Maybe it was crowded out by more splashy, Disney type entertainment. Or some sort of Star Wars film may have stolen the show.

Eastwood is still incredible, though.
I suspect his ongoing work as a director is keeping him in a functioning state. If a workhorse like Clint were to fully retire, he would probably begin to lose his health not soon afterward. If he was already into a lighter, easier schedule, a retirement would be less of a shock to the system.
I know much younger people, those in their 40’s, and work is their main reason for living.

Eastwood has never made a bad movie, IMHO. Personal all-time favorites for me are tied: Dirty Harry and The Good, The Bad & The Ugly.

Best wishes to him for a happy 90th. Even though he’s up there in age now, he STILL has the same steely glare that scared the crap out of his opponents and set women’s hearts swooning.

Over 20 comments so far and no mention of “High Plains Drifter”?

But seriously, could you have a more polar opposite than Meryl Streep?

“...Clint Eastwood turns 90 next month ...”

Holy crap... 90...hard to believe.

To me, one of his best ever: “Where Eagles Dare”.

One of my all time favorite lines from a movie is Dirty Harry's from "Magnum Force."

"Man's got to know his limitations."

Nobody has mentioned American Sniper. I thought it was great.

The Dead Pool is the only Dirty Harry film I’ve never watched all the way through. And what I did see of it was not very good.

Best Dirty Harry scene, ever, really takes some nice pot shots at the “Woke” culture....
