Yeah, no thanks
I heard they were going to hire former Milwaukee police officers to enforce these policies.
I visited a music store last weekend where they required that you wear a mask (if you do not have a mask, one will be given to you).
It was one of those 100-to-a-box masks - let's just say that it was not a pleasant experience. Even in an air-conditioned space, it made breathing difficult, continually fogged up my glasses and made my forehead break out in sweat.
Outside on a humid Florida day? They'll be dropping like flies.
So.. let me get this right..
115 degrees
135% humidity
On a tar/ concrete park
in the full sun
You try to take a sip of water, and the mask nazis threaten you.
You and everybody your with is getting silly from having a a sock over their face restricting air flow. And add to that dyhydration from being unable to drink.
And Now. you go on a roller coaster, in a mask. And you get to puke, into the mask? TILT A WHRIL UP NEXT!!! then maybe the Barf-a-geddon ride? and then the Puke-a tron? Wa Hoo!!
Have I got that about right?
Little Rats,
Big Rats,
‘Bout the Same.
Good luck with that MM.
Pass. And I don’t mean “annual”.
No way I’m spending thousands of $$$ on a vacation where I have to wear a lousy maxi pad on my face all the time and half of everything is closed. If I want to experience the “magic” of totalitarianism and communism, I’ll book a vacation to Venezuela.
>> and made my forehead break out in sweat.
sweating will be evidence that you are a witch, I mean infected
Idiots will go. They’ll happily pay their $200 and wear their useless masks. Then spend 90% of the time there standing in lines.
The stupidity is deep and thick.
I lived in Florida for over 40 years. The heat and humidity will make a mask unbearable, not to mention that the top half of your face will burn/tan and the lower half will remain pale.
Some of the rudest people I have ever met were at Disney World. Venezuelans were notoriously bad. They would push and cut line and pretend they didn’t know better and/or didn’t understand English. Feral youth in general were an issue. Cast members often gently intervene, but that will become problematic under the conditions.
Disney has very sophisticated security that depends a lot on facial ID. Masks will mess with that.
I think much of this has to do with Universal announcing they are reopening. The optics of Universal being open and Disney not were too much to bear.
Note to Disney: Not even for free.
Most here in north east FL do not wear masks, but there are some who are still being the good media sheep and cowering over this flu.
Scott McKay at American Spectator explains why the mask is essentially useless:
"Those of us who refuse to live our lives in fear, or to bow to those who do, have a message for the rest of you the time has come and gone for us to continue with this idiotic charade of wearing masks in public."
"The mask is not an adequate defense against the COVID-19 virus, gang. The virus checks in at somewhere between 0.06 and 0.14 microns, meaning its too small for any commercially available mask to effectively filter it out. The pores on an N95 mask, which are the best masks youre reasonably going to find, and the vast, vast majority of you are not going to have N95 masks but rather cloth masks, which perform far less well, are 0.3 microns."
"Meaning that while the N95 mask you wish you had but dont, and that you shouldnt have because doctors and nurses who have to treat coronavirus patients daily in hospitals need a steady supply of them, might trap the virus most of the time, that crappy cloth mask youre wearing is more or less worthless. All its doing is signaling to people that you think you care more about the virus than they do."
"But if you really want to wear that mask, OK. Go ahead and wear it. Its time to stop giving the stink-eye, or worse, a piece of your Karen mind, to people who arent impressed with your Mask Virtue and are breathing normally."
"If your mask works, then it will keep you from getting the virus regardless of whether other people are wearing a mask. So you shouldnt care whether other people are wearing a mask."
"If your mask doesnt work, then it wont keep you from getting the virus regardless of whether other people are wearing a mask. So you shouldnt care whether other people are wearing a mask."
"This idea that your mask works only in tandem with everybody elses mask is a communistic idea straight out of the Borg hive mind, and shame on you for being such a drone that you buy into that. That was never a realistic notion, and its evidence of how easy it is for someone to rob you of your love of freedom.
Its so bad that the roads are covered with morons driving alone with masks on."
"The only way to explain that idiocy is that those people have been convinced the mask is essentially an amulet that magically protects against contracting the virus. Heres a quick reality check: magic amulets dont work."
"But if you really want to wear a mask, again, fine. Go ahead and wear one."
Do not mistreat your fellow citizens because they dont want to. That makes you both obnoxious and stupid.
"And no, you are not allowed to counter with but its what the politicians and public health bureaucrats recommend. Those people have not been right about a single damn thing having to do with this virus. Nothing. They have wrecked the national economy, theyve lied and mixed messages, and in many cases theyve actually killed people with coronavirus. For you to bleat out that appeal to authority means you dont have an opinion other than the one somebody forced down your throat."
"Which is fine (not really), right up to the point when you try to inflict that opinion on the rest of us. Hush."
That sounds absolutely insufferable.
Uh... pass.
Gotta be able to eat dem turkey legs
MM = Mickey Mask. ...so does Cinderella wear a mask? Pluto?
People are going to have to put up with these type of things if they want to go places. Even if businesses had no health concerns, they still have to worry about lawsuits.
“No mask, no service” is the “new normal” until somebody gets cracking on a vaccine - which will render masks, distancing and all the other nonsense moot.
Until then, it’ll be masks or just don’t go for a lot things, not just Disney.
