Today, the U.S. Embassy in Russia displays the LGBTI Pride Flag. The LGBTI flag was created by American artist and activist Gilbert Baker and was first raised as a symbol of hope and diversity on June 25, 1978, during the Gay Freedom Day parade in San Francisco. June is Pride Month and we celebrate that everyone deserves to live a life free from hatred, prejudice, and persecution. As Ambassador Sullivan has said, “LGBTI rights are human rights. And human rights are universal. It’s as simple as that.”

It really becomes a bit too much to separate regard for the person apart from the revulsion of his/her depraved deeds that ought to come to mind to those still bravely having a active, working conscience.
There is a fitting Russian saying which is translated: “trying to scare off a hedgehog with a bare arse”.
In this case the USA as a nation associates itself with homosexuals because an embassy stands for the whole of a nation.

If Russian’s don’t look with acceptance on the ‘pride’ flag it’s because Bolsheviks forced perverse gender-bending on Russian children during the Soviet years.

That is a political banner and should not fly at our embassy.
It would still be called a hate crime. You can’t burn your own cross on your own land either and not because it is considered offensive to Christians.
I saw on the Internet a story of a Russian American who flew a Confederate flag in California, nothing happened, just his son wasn’t happy, because the children at school said his dad was a racist.
Certainly the Department of State thinks otherwise.
Not exactly, but many Russians were forced by Bolsheviks into prison and there they got acquainted with prison male prostitution, therefore the image of a gay is an image of a prostitute.
However, a chief of the NKVD, certain Mr. Yezhov, was gay, and not only that, but a child molester.

Children raised by traditional values parents, we are told to believe, will almost certainly become racists and fascists. By extension, if fascism and racism are endemic to America's traditional culture, then everyone raised in the traditions of God, family, patriotism, gun ownership, or free markets is in need of psychological help.

Stalin pretty much put a stop to that, that was more of a Trotsky thing.
Isn't that, rather, what is now called Political Correctness? (Multiculturalism is IMO the importing of alien cultures to weaken and ultimately destroy the social fabric of a formerly mostly cohesive society.)
Note that the size of the fag flag is much larger than that of the US flag...priorities, priorities...
