That crap happens. It's the responsibility of the police to use the minimum amount of force needed to attain and maintain control of the subject. That did not happen in this case. Now the subject is dead, the former officer has destroyed his life and and will probably spend the rest of his life in prison. And that's before we even begin to assess the deaths and damage to property, not to mention the fundamental changes that will come from all this. The police officer is the one person who could have broken the chain of events had he performed his job correctly.

George Floyd exhibited suffering from “excited delirium syndrome” (ExDS), or stress from merely being arrested. As such, the police could have laid him on the ground and he would have died anyway.

No, I don’t think so. Bricks and Molotov Cocktails were prepositioned which tells me the riots had been planned for some time just waiting for an excuse to start.
I have seen NOTHING to show this was racially motivated or that the police were racist..... Overzealous restraint of a possible criminal who resisted getting into the police car and had to be restrained yes, but racist... can’t measure what is in the policemen’s hearts . The drugs Mr. Floyd had in his system likely played some role in his ultimate demise !! His death was a convenient event for the protestors/ rioters to use.
One other small matter that escapes nearly everybody, and many here, is that there’s still zero proof that Chauvin is a racist.
