SEATTLE (AP) - A 16-year-old boy was killed and and a younger teenager was wounded early Monday in Seattle's “occupied” protest zone - the second deadly shooting in the area that local officials have vowed to change after business complaints and criticism from President Donald Trump.
The violence that came just over a week after another shooting in the zone left one person dead and another wounded was “dangerous and unacceptable" police Chief Carmen Best said.
“Enough is enough,” Best told reporters. “We need to be able to get back into the area.”
Demonstrators have occupied several blocks around the Seattle Police Department’s East Precinct and a park for about two weeks after police abandoned the precinct following standoffs and clashes with protesters calling for racial justice and an end to police brutality.
Witnesses reported seeing a white Jeep SUV near one of the makeshift barriers around the protest zone about 3 a.m. Monday, just before the shooting, a police statement said.

Police chief Best should have resigned as soon as it was apparent that the mayor wasn’t going to do anything.
I thought the idiot Mayor said they were dong away with the zone Sunday -I guess she didn’t kneel before them and get their approval first - well, she probably did the kneeling bit..
If I was the police chief, I’d arrest her and then clear the place out - with prejudice.
No, no, no, no....Enough should’ve been weeks and weeks ago. It’s reached a point of no return unless someone gets a grip or puts fences around the whole place and make them live in their own filth. Don’t let them leave. They get what they ask for in my opinion.
I was also wondering what the Tues were doing out at 3:00 a.m. but from the pics I saw, it was not a "pricey" Jeep. It was a '90s model Grand Cherokee. Good vehicle, I ran the snot out of mine, but probably worth $2-3k tops on Craigslist.

I have no idea who Impartial News is, but they’re saying the Jeep the kids were in was not the car involved in the shooting at the ball field. So, they murdered two innocent kids in a protest against bad faulty police shootings.

OR she could hang in there until she’s proven to be correct, finally be given the orders to clean up the mess, AND continue to keep her job after the idiot mayor is tossed out of the office and she has a new boss ...
