Funny...no mention of BLM or antifa or violent riots. I guess that is all a myth.
A decade ago, a friend bought a summer home in the mountains near Truckee. They were giving them away at the time; prices were low, inventory high, houses took forever to sell, and sellers would take any offer. He got one hell of a deal. He’s probably more than doubled and maybe even tripled his investment. It always takes guts to buy at the bottom of a financial cataclysm.
Problem is, Placer and Nevada Counties which comprise the California side of Lake Tahoe, are among the few remaining conservative areas in the state. The progressive cancer of Leftism/Progressivism/Democrats is metastacizing quickly into healthy tissue.
Friend of mine runs his software development business out of the Bay Area. It’s him (founder & CEO) and a biz dev guy. The whole development team is in Costa Rica and has been from Day One. He says the quality of people there is fantastic and wages are real low. He’s been doing this for probably ten years now.

It’s going to flood Red areas with Blue folks. Folks move, and they vote for the lunacy they ran from.
This is my fear.
I don’t necessarily think that is what will happen. It will to some degree, but I think some will actaully wise up as they age and see the result of living in a red area.

Just wait until the young techies who fled Silicon Valley have to deal with the winters, the snowbound roads, clearing their driveways, etc.
