Post WWI, almost a century ago, somebody in the UK figured out that using a suitcase or two to dispose of a body, taking a train, and not claiming the unmarked luggage was a great idea.

Not only that, the perp’s destination was seasonal seaside destination. So, after the season, the luggage would remain in the little used storage area by the time it might start to stink.

Once the body was discovered, and the media had it in the news cycle for weeks, it spawned a handful of copycats for the next few years.
