Were the youth people same sex or not? Just curious. I think most abuse is actually heterosexual but definitely have to watch out for homos.
I haven’t been very good about going to church. But the bit I did, I was never aware of ANY problems like that at all. Oh I sometimes had problems with pastor personality, or direction of the church, but not blatant immoralities.
I HAVE wondered about a very nice couple at our last church. They were very active. But I have to say, they both seemed homo. Which I actually applaud if they were trying to defeat any abnormal proclivities.
And the fact that her husband is sticking by her tells us that this is more than just bad behavior. Husbands/wives of bipolar people are sometimes long suffering because they know another side of their mate and realize that they are dealing with an illness.

shows to me she is NOT sincere in her own Christian walk.

I think you could be correct. Hypersexuality is a common feature of the manic phase of the disorder.
sometimes it’s simply just sins of the flesh/letting your selfish desire rule your thought process and not caring that it’s out of control or improper what you’re doing. Along the line of most other addictions. Much more common but some times diagnosed as other disorder(s) and the person treats that disorder and never deals with root cause -their personal choice to feed the sin life. I know of many.

It’s difficult to be the son or daughter of any preacher sometimes. My dad was a pastor, and a good one. Good father, husband, all that. Not a hypocrite in any way, but the school kids tend to shun you because, well, you’re a preacher’s kid. Of course they like to judge you harder than the other kids too. It was an unhappy childhood thx to school for me.

If you go to the article, there are screen shots of Facebook messages from Becki Falwell...The former student showed them to the reporter...I do not think those screen shots are fake...They prove that there was some relationship between those two...Was there really sex involved? Who knows?
I got the impression that this former student felt terrible about his relationship with Becki...
