I just realized she was in Game of Thrones. I’ve never seen the show. I didn’t realize she had continued in her career to the end.

Rigg appeared as the eccentric Mrs Pumphrey in the 2020 adaptation of All Creatures Great and Small

Wonderful series of books and the original tv show , haven’t seen the 2020 version.

She and her daughter (who looks it) played parts in the British comedy ‘The Dectorists’. Seasons 1 & 2 are available on Amazon Prime.

Emma Peel: Always keep your bowler on in time of stress, and watch out for diabolical masterminds.

It says a lot that she continued to be offered roles like that at an age when most actresses’ phones have stopped ringing.

RIP Miss Riggs.

No Turn Unstoned is a collection of “the worst theatrical reviews in history” compiled by the actress Diana Rigg. The first edition, published by Elm Tree Books in 1982, followed by a paperback edition in 1991.

Rigg wrote to her many friends and acquaintances in the theatre and film industries and asked them to share their worst-ever reviews. She also researched theatre criticism and surviving comments from as far back as Ancient Greece. During the early 1990s, Rigg toured university campuses, reading excerpts from the book. All of the proceeds from the speaking tour, and the book itself, were donated to a theatrical charity.

RIP - such a beautiful woman.

Last thing I saw her in was The Detectorists where she played alongside her daughter, as he mother. A great performance.

I always associate her with my other big teenage crush, Jacqueline Bisset.

I added that because I remember her on talk shows back then talking about that book. She had a good sense of humor.

(1) The Avengers was before my time; (2) I didn't watch Game of Thrones.

I mostly remember her as the host of "Mystery!" on PBS.

“My dad was a huge fan of the Avengers, until she left.“

Linda Thorson really had some big high-heels to fill.

Read Patrick Macnee’s biography sometime. He had one of the most screwed-up childhoods in recorded history. Our non-binary LGBTQ’s would have a hard time keeping up with stuff his mother was doing in the 1930’s. Amazing he did not spend the rest of his life on a psychiatrist’s couch.

I liked the whacky Avengers series when I was growing up.
And yes, "Mrs Peel" was definitely hot!
Loved her voice and attitude on the show.
Quite sexy.

Not gonna lie... there’s a tear in my eye.

She was something special, for sure.

The Detectorists: One of the best shows to come out of Britain in recent years. Had no idea Rachel Stirling is Diana Rigg’s daughter. But the resemblance is obvious when you know. The whole cast was fantastic and it’s time to watch it again.
