I have enjoyed THE CROWN, LUCIFER, LONGMIRE, OCCUPIED, SEBASTIAN MANOSCALO, WHATIF, ANON, BETTER THAN US, NOBEL, WATERSHIP DOWNS, RYAN HAMILTON, OSMOSIS, THE BONUS FAMILY, BLUEBLOODS,
Battlezone 360 on Prime (about the USS Enterprise in WW2, kinda cheesy narration IMHO with tons of CGI like my youngest son watching someone else play video games. But awesome details with the specs on the different ships and planes, why different battles were important, how the battles were won, how the U.S. was a major player in the Normandy invasion while simultaneously invading Saipan Island while the U.S. 5th Army entered Rome, Italy).
Tons of other Battlezone shows on Prime from different wars.
My Roku says Turn:Washington's Spies is on Netflix (about the Culper Spy Ring). Someone who still has Netflix will have to confirm that.
Puffin Rock.
Streaming on Amazon. I can't believe I passed this show by for so many years, always assuming it was just some cheap "Game of Thrones" knockoff. I couldn't have been more wrong. Wife and I were hooked from the beginning and quickly streamed the whole series a few weeks ago.
I do believe it's better than GoT. Great screenwriting. Takes a few liberties with historical timelines but that's Ok. Strong characters, both the Vikings and Christians alike (and Christianity is treated reverently, not belittled.
No woke. No PC. No tokenism. No gratuitous nudity. The battle scenes are epic, violent, beautifully filmed, and as good as anything on the big screen.
And Bishop Heahmund is the most badass Christian on television. Slays pagans for Jesus.
Amazon -
Endeavour - crime drama
Start at season 1. You will have to indivually save each season to your watchlist as you work your way through them.
The Tunnel
5 or so installments, edge of the seat crime drama.
NYPD BLUE
What more can I say.
“Away” on Netflix is a decent series (10 episodes) about a mission to mars.
Another historical epic beautifully filmed and intelligently written and built around a clever time travel twist.
A chick-flick romance period but with blood and guts action to keep the guys interested as well.
Cobra Kai on Netflix
Prime:
Bosch all seasons (Best show ever!)
Goliath S1&2
Hand of God
Jack Ryan S1
Netflix:
Ozark
You
Stranger things
Altered Carbon
Mindhunters
Narcos Mexico
It does.
Lol.
Andy Sipowitz is the man! Just about through watching all 12 seasons for the second time.
Look into Leaky Blinders on netflix
Bkmk
On Prime - Time Team archaeology series, Danny Kaye films, Silent Witness, Victoria, Sapphire and Steel, classic Outer Limits, Kavanagh QC. Lots of British shows including classics.
Netflix - on September 15th theyre starting to show a comedy special Michael McIntyre Showman that I saw being filmed in London in March. After I watch that a few times Im dumping Netflix. Its sad that that great British comedian who is in fact quite clean is getting his big chance on Netflix just as everybody else is dumping it!
Ive also been watching a lot more on YouTube including classic film noir and British 1950s films.
BritBox is my favorite with all British series, lots of things to watch on there like Father Brown, Inspector Morse, classic Dr Who, etc.
love acorn! Line of Duty is great. So is Doc Martin
I’ve turned to Youtube for film noir from the 1940s. I recommend this link for seeing the number of movies from that period.

My favorites are Impact, Shed no Tears, Black Angel, Crack Up, DOA, House on Telegraph Hill, etc. What you don’t see in special effect is made up with real acting ability and a good story line.
If you enjoy subtle English humor, you might try seasons 1 & 2 of ‘The Detectorists’ on Amazon Prime. Watch a couple and you’ll likely get hooked. Dianna Rigg and her daughter are in it.
...Turn...
...just about any of the PBS Masterpiece Theatre shows...
watched the first 3 or 4 episodes of boys stared out thinking “oh great” another woke superhero show. I was actually surprised when the plot developed.
