They can kiss my ass. Next week or next month or next year there’ll be another (or better yet, totally different) group of foods to avoid.

All things in MODERATION.

I think your levels are also dependent on genetics.

My dad, my brothers and I all supper high levels of “good” cholesterol and our diets are very different. (I could live on bacon, eggs, cheese and butter!)

Bacon and eggs, an evil assault rifle on a plate. Don’t give the food Nazis ammunition.

Sorry, sometimes I can’t help it.

Don’t blame the butter for what the bread did.

What a crock.
More hysteria items from liberals.
I like and eat everything there, except for the liver.

Then what clogged my arteries and required a quad-bypass op?...............

Carbs. And especially the double-whammy of high-carbs AND high-fat.

Avoiding carbs and sugar makes a lot more sense than avoiding cholesterol. More of the low fat hysteria.

"Epithelial dysfunction as an entry point from not having enough antioxidants to properly help maintain your epithelial layer."

Which, to the point at hand, is not a matter of having too much cholesterol floating around your blood stream.

"Then what clogged my arteries and required a quad-bypass op?..............."

Plaques are a repair mechanism for damaged arteries. They are not the cause of the problem, they are a response to the problem. Cholesterol, in the blood or in the diet, did not do the damage.

Eggs are a super food. So is liver but you don’t want to eat too much because you can risk Vitamin A toxicity.

I had the worst liver and onions a couple of weeks ago. I guess they cook doesn’t get many orders for it and didn’t know how to cook it either. I got two huge pieces of liver(the package I guess) with onions on the side that looked like they were cooked in the microwave. I eat liver once every few years at most.

I eat two med/large eggs some mornings. My hens are running around the yard right now. Nice dark yellow yolks - extra omega 3 with free range birds and their feed is non medicated.

Atherosclerosis runs in the family and I’m over 50 so I’ve been improving my diet. I put turmeric and garlic on most everything. Never been one to eat fatty foods. Eating salad most everyday with balsamic vinaigrette.

1) Mc’D’s breakfast-I’ve never had, so fine.
2) Liver- Seldom to never have liver, ok then
4) Canned Shrimp- blech! I’ve never had that in my life, so A-ok with THAT.
5) Chocolate Mousse- Not really my thang, I can certainly live without it.

The rest, nope ain’t gonna stop. :)

I had the wrong cells named.

“Endothelial cells” are the ones lining blood vessels, while epithelial cells are the lining of organs.

Ditto - 11 stents. Bit of a wakeup call, but I was already eating pretty healthy and exercising 4-6 days/week. Sometime the genes just prevail.
