Voted on Thursday at 2:00 pm. At the Marriott in Bluegrass Industrial park in Louisville, KY. The Jefferson County runs its own voting. Lots of elder voters. No waiting in line but they were very efficient. Had to scan driver’s license to computer and sign. Felt comfortable about the vote being counted. A poll worker said about 10,000 had already voted. Mostly white voters, but that’s because of where it was located. Can’t compare it to 2016, as the polling place we normally go was not used in 2020.

Jefferson County, Kentucky. (Louisville)

This is the FIRST TIME Ky has ever had early voting.

Only 4 locations are available for the city. 3 are in downtown areas that are pre-dominantly minority, Dem areas. Only one... Marriott East.. was even close to the east side of the city/county, where all the Republicans live. Still, 10 miles from my home.

We went at 11 am on Thursday... third day of voting. It was VERY busy. Many workers were there, shepherding people through the process, which was very quick and easy.

All total, we took ~ 20 minutes to vote. Half of that was reading two very long amendment proposals.

There were 12 tables for checking in.. separated by alphabet. They have ipads with registration, and we have to "sign" with our fingers.... That makes signature comparison pretty much impossible.

They had ~ 40 voting booths. There was a very short line of people for each. 2-3 people max.

Nearly all people voting were Caucasians, 40+ years old. Many married couples. Quite a few seniors (65+). I'm 60. I felt young in this crowd. I saw a few people with MAGA hat, or other supportive shirts. In general, I'd say a friendly crowd for Trump.

We had pens to fill in our ovals, then... we put our ballots in the machine. In PAST years, we had a cover sheet, to hide our choices from the workers. This time, NO. Our selections were easily visible to the poll workers.

The poll workers themselves were mostly elderly (65+) and very friendly. Overall.. it was easy, and quick. Biggest problem was parking and traffic around the Marriott.

James is in a dead heat or slightly behind in the polls. He just made up a 10 point deficit according to the New York Times:

POLL: John James Makes Up 10-Point Deficit Since June, Michigan Senate Race Now Dead Heat

The New York Times reported James was down double digits in June, 41 percent to 31 percent.

That gap has now narrowed to one point, 43 percent to 42 percent, according to the Times/Siena survey.

If the Times says -1, you know it must be +4.

Early voting started last Tuesday in Texas. It was packed all day every day last week at my county polling place. I went ahead and voted Thursday afternoon and waited in line two hours. The lines were even longer on Friday.

If you have early voting in your state, don’t wait until election day. Vote now before someone else votes in your name.

Just drove back to DC from Dewey Beach, DE. Lots of Trump signs in Eastern shore Maryland and Delaware.

My neighborhood in Northern Virginia is ultra-liberal blue. But FAR fewer Biden signs than Hillary 2016 signs. A small number of Trump signs now, compared to ZERO in 2016.

Voted yesterday (Saturday) in Fort Bend County, TX in The Meadows. Drove past the Meadows City Hall and did not see any lines, so I took a chance. No one was in line at all.

During the check-in procedure, I presented my Texas Driver's License, and had to confirm something on a screen verifying who I was, etc, and I had to sign on the screen with the disposable stylus they gave me. They then presented me with a paper ballot.

I loaded the ballot into the computer voting machine and voted for all the R candidates. When I was finished, the ballot printed out with all my sections accurately printed. I then loaded the ballot into another machine. There was one other person finishing up on another machine while I voted.

My district has traditionally been red, but I think we are turning a bit purple due to the influx of foreigners. Tom Delay was our congressman until he retired. Pete Olson has been our rep for a number of years, but he is one of the retiring republicans. This year the race is between Sheriff Troy Nehls (GOP) and a guy named Sri Kulkarni (Democrat). The nomination of a guy with such a foreign sounding name (even though he was born in the USA) relates IMO to the influx of people from India and the mideast.

I did not vote in the March primary until election day and had to go after work. The line was wrapping around the building that day. When I voted in the runoff in May(?), I again waited until election day and stood in line outside. Yesterday's early vote took all of 5 minutes.

So my wife and I took a trip yesterday from Maryland to Skyline Drive in Virginia’s Shennandoah Valley, one of the most beautiful areas of the country. I saw 2 Biden signs in the SV—both of them were on the property of wineries! No kidding. And you know both of these wineries are likely owned by ex-Washingtonians who move down to the valley and tell everybody how to live.

BTW, I strongly encourage everyone to go to Skyline Drive within the next 2 weeks. The leaves/overlooks are stunning. If you go, pre-pay and buy a pass AND enter at on one of the middle entrances (definitely not Front Royal). You will get in the park within 30 seconds with a pass and if you enter in the middle part of Skyline Drive.

I tried voting yesterday afternoon and the line was long - a wait of 40 minutes or more. The poll gal said it had been like that all day. I have never seen this in my city during early voting.

I don’t know where you live, but if I’m not sure, or familiar, with the judges, I go to my state’s pro-life site. I’m in Kansas so it kfl.org - Kansans For Life. They list their endorsements every election.

I have a terrible feeling that blue states will try to stop in person voting on Nov 3

Early Voting in Wisconsin starts on October 20th through November 2nd. There have been a lot of ‘collection’ centers set up to collect absentee ballots, or those who wanted to vote by mail but still hand-deliver their ballots.

I only vote with about 300 others, so I won’t have a lot to report - but if anything seems weird, I’ll let you know. I’m usually Voter #20 or so on Election days...there are a few other farmers that beat me all the time! ;)

One thing I CAN assure you all of is that there WILL be cheating in Dane and Milwaukee Counties. THAT is a GIVEN.

Trump. 2020. Landslide! Make It So, FReepers! :)

Red state with a few pockets of blue (cities) but my county is light pink with a military base.

Oh, and I forgot to mention-the county is requiring anyone entering a county office (even the library) to wear a mask so you can’t judge if they’re D or R due to wearing a mask when looking at photos.

Knox County TN - very long lines on Saturday. Any Knox County voter can early vote there - they figure out what precinct you’re in and print a ballot for you - you mark it and they scan it. 59-35 for Trump in 2016.
