Voted in El Paso County Colorado Today.

I should feel great – but the thing is I left the polling place extremely angry.

I voted in person. Colorado has been a mail-in voting state for a while. It’s beautiful here – didn’t know that it was mail-in voting before I moved here.

The thing is 4 years ago I voted in person at the same polling place and actually voted using an electronic voting machine.

Today, I go there and a nice woman signed me up to fill out a paper ballot. I told her I wanted to vote electronically. So, they had to undo my paper ballot and let me vote with what I thought was an electronic voting machine. Nope, it was a glorified computer that allowed me to fill out my ballot on a touch screen, and then print that out and submit that a paper ballot.

I should have known, but I did not follow local politics, things have changed in the last 4 years.

Why was I extremely angry, I feel like an idiot because I did not know, that’s on me. I was told in March that we needed to slow the spread and we would all stay home for two weeks. 8 months later… I think I just realized that if we win, it will have to be overwhelming. I am so cynical that I doubt that my vote ever counted. Sorry to be a bummer. The thing is, is that fair play – is for suckers – or so it would appear. I voted for Trump for the second time today. He is unlikely to win in Colorado. Not because there are more liberals than conservatives, just because more liberals vote than liberals.

We all have to get through the next few weeks – I hope and pray that Trump wins. It is sad that I do not trust anyone. The nice people at the voting place assured me they were good and decent people. I have not reason not to believe that to be true. I just do not trust the system that is so wide open to fraud. There must be a way that allows Americans to vote that guarantees fair and free elections. The Covid election system is not fair or free.

Sorry to be a downer – I thought I would be elated after I voted. I am not.

God bless the United States of America and may God protect us all.

I voted in person today here in Los Angeles County, Rancho Palos Verdes to be exact. Hardly anybody was there so I was in and out without delay. I had to bring in my mail in ballot with envelope so they can scan the number and let me vote in person. The voting machines were amazing, touch screen plus two levels of review: electronic and paper. After your electronic review was ok, then it prints, if that is okay, then it takes the paper confirmation. Electronic machines with a paper trail, best of both worlds. They should use machines like this universally. The area I live in is very liberal so I was probably the only one in the voting center that voted for Trump. One thing that was concerning however, was that they didn’t destroy my mail-in ballot. I asked if they were going to do that and they claimed it was unnecessary because my unique number is the code. If I send in the mail in ballot plus voting early, my votes would be completely cancelled out. Needless to say, I went home and had my wife shred the mail-in ballot just to be sure.
