Horror films are my *jam* as the kids used to day about twenty years ago or whenever.
Favorite horror film — I LOVED the original tv film for the Night Stalker with Darren McGavin.
I also love The Shining, Alien (which I consider horror with a science fiction backdrop) and the original Halloween.
I Was a Teenage Earl Warren—Yes, there really was a movie with this title, from 1971. Can you imagine anything more terrifying?
The Night of the Living Dead. Old black and white film.
I have not seen a ghost but I have heard one. Mr. Mercat has heard and felt one. Long story but very convincing.
Favorite horror/scary movies:
Frankenstein 1931
The Wolf Man 1941
The Body Snatcher 1945
Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein 1948
The Thing from Another World 1951

when shes driving at night,...then only organ music comes on the radio...then the image in the car window staring at her!!!!....yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee....lol
I like “The Shining” for Halloween.
Never saw a ghost, but have seen weird unexplainable things happen that scared me.
It’s The Great Pumkpkin, Charlie Brown
“Movie” might be a stretch, but I don’t like Haloween or Haloween movies.
Indeed. If you get a chance, check out the DVD that has Herk Harvey, the Director/Producer's comments on making the film - a real seat-of-the-pants operation (cost $30,000 to make).
Gems like walking up to a van driver at a stop light and asking "Wanna make $25? Chase a girl down an alley." Same $25 offer to that salesclerk in the store. He had to pay the county $38 to repair the bridge railing where the car went through; the director was the creepy guy emerging from the water, etc.
The guy never made a nickle out of it as the distributor ran off with the money.
think it was the only film Herk Harvey ever did....def see how it influenced Romero etc....
Yes. The book scared the crap out of me as a young girl. The movie?? meh
Funny how that works, rippling through the movie community. Harvey said that the Twilight Zone episode "The Hitchhiker" gave him the idea (that, plus driving by that spooky building at twilight). Romero said that movie gave him the idea for "The Night of the Living Dead". And so it goes. :-)
I am Catholic, so I celebrate the vigil of the solemnity of all Saints day!
OK. . .at least it isn’t Satan’s holiday, Halloween. Human sacrifices happening all over. My sister’s former pastor who passed away recently was on a police task force trying to stop the evil.
God bless him, for his service to the Lord he will be rewarded.
