Sad to hear this news.

My dad went at a very advanced age a dozen years ago and I still expect him to be a phone call away on the other side of town. Now I am a dozen years, 1300 miles and getting way upon the years myself, but he is still in my thoughts.

Peace be with you.

They say it is a good day to die...All Hallows Eve.

Followed by All Saints Day, then All Souls Day, when the Church prays millions of prayers for all our uncanonized saints.

Losing your father is very hard.

Your father’s life, and the time he was goven, (which was also given to you), were true gifts from God!

I am praying for you and your family, that you will know Gods overwhelming grace at this time...

I'm so sorry for your loss. But as you say, you haven't lost him. You know exactly where he is.

Prayers for you and your family, in Jesus' Name.

For this reason we do not lose heart: Even though our outward man is perishing, yet our inward man is being renewed day by day. Our light affliction, which lasts but for a moment, works for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

2 Corinthians 16-18

I am so sorry for your loss. It’s impossible to get over the death of a parent.

Both of mine are gone and I think of them every day.
