Maybe there is another reason. What if, just if, POTUS has absolute proof the Democrats and the ChiComs were working hand in hand, with the covid 19 and the steeling of the election. If it was true, then he would need loyalist to protect this nation. Over 6 months ago, POTUS told us this would happen during the election. With his resources he has more access to more info than anyone single person in the government.
Or, as FLT-bird hints at above, and I agree, DJT really believes he will be named winner of the election and the left will riot, necessitating the invoking of the insurrection act.
