Too much over the top swearing for no reason like when he gets into their car at the store.

Don’t ask me why the parentheses get cut off.

A lot of them are very good but my favorite is the 1951 version with Alistair Sim as Scrooge.

I really like the animated Zemekis version that stars Gary Oldman and Jim Carey. Very well made

The 1938 Tiny Tim lives close by to me in Minneapolis. I think he’s still there anyway.

The one I like most is the one filmed in 1938, starring Reginald Owen.

I like the musical with Albert Finney too. The ones with Reginald Owen, George C. Scot and Alistair Sim are good too. I like them all.

I second Mr Magoo as the best! I have on VHS and also have the George C Scott and Alastair Cooke one- that’s a really, really old version.

For me, it's the 1938 version of "A Christmas Carol".
Scrooge : Reginald Owen
Marley : Leo G. Carrol
Bob Cratchet : Eugene Lockhart
Mrs. Cratchet : Kathleen Lockhart
Belinda Cratchit : June Lockhart (YES! Lassie, Lost in Space)

Personal favorite is 1999 version with Patrick Stewart (actually own it).

Second choice is the 1984 version with George C. Scott.

This for me, as well. It really hit me like a ton of bricks as a kid. Will always remain my favorite.

The best non-adaptation is the original book. It’s highly readable and just plain fun to read. Far more fun than a 90 minute attempt to capture it on film.
