We need LANDSAT or other satellite photos of the Before and After scenes of the 3 Gorges Dam flooding. That will tell us a lot about what happened and could happen.

Accept no photos from Diane Feinstein, Eric Swalwel or Adam Schiff.

I am seriously pondering the how and why and if and where at the moment of what all has gone on in the past few days. If I had a wonderful answer I would sing it from the hilltop but alas I am still just a pondering. We will all get there eventually.

I do believe the public has been wronged to the point to justify the bloodiest of redemptions from its government but I am known to be a bit hot headed at times.

My feeling at the moment is that internal conflict would be the action to occur first followed by an attempt to overtake sovereignty of these states by third party which would likely be chinese at first then combated by Europeans.

Bidet will send them $5 trillion in emergency aid. It’s the patriotic thing to do, right?

Was just thinking: What if we were to place some type of weapon housing multiple reentry vehicles (hypersonic glide vehicles, or perhaps “rods from God”) into a long-period, highly elliptical orbit, under the guise of some interplanetary probe launch? The nature of the orbit would hide the fact that it even was in Earth orbit, as well as its purpose. Any enemy watching eyes would just assume it was on a trajectory for Mars or wherever, not realizing that it will clandestinely return in a year or two, or whatever.

Then, as it approaches simply send a command to release a “meteor” (wink , wink) and boom!, no more Three Gorges Dam, or whatever other enemy infrastructure we decide to target. Follow up by sending condolences to the enemy country for their terrible luck, and you’re home free.

And if we’re really in a bad mood, release all of the reentry vehicles at once. Presto!, meteor storm.

Perhaps Cheyenne Mountain has a few extra to lend for such a purpose.

The dam collapse is only a matter of time, it will happen at some point. it is already bulging

I wonder if that’s the dam that’s above the Wuhan lab?

Possibly . . . and of concern.

At this time, wondering if the stories coming out of this YT channel are accurate - pertaining to this week - flooding - or are rehashes from last summer.

One appears to reference the 6.8-7.0 earthquake there three days ago.

One of them is on the disappearance of Jack Ma. But heard he resurfaced. Trying to get confirmation of some of these items.

The US military probably knows. It’s satellites are sensitive enough to detected how bad it is bulging under pressure.

The casualties from even dam attacks in the past has been limited. The Ruhr valley dam busting raids killed under 2,000 people, and this was in Germany, which has a 50% higher population density than China.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Chastise

The theoretical Three Gorges Dam raid that keeps getting mentioned is probably exaggerated in its expected effects. Dams generally tend to get built far away from settled areas. The idea being that if the dam cracks, casualties will be limited.

The Three Gorges Dam is big, but not some massive monstrosity beyond anything ever built, in terms of the volume of water penned in (39.3 cu km), which is comparable to the Hoover Dam (35.2 cu km):

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hoover_Dam
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Gorges_Dam

Canada’s Daniel Johnson Dam contains 4x the water volume of the the Three Gorges Dam.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Daniel-Johnson_dam

Bottom line is that in the worst case, and the dam is completely destroyed, such that every drop of water behind it flushes to the surrounding area, it would inundate, to a depth of ~12 ft (~4m), 39.3/(.004)= 9825 sq km. That’s a 55 km (~34 mile) radius from the dam. Not exactly the kind of flood that got Noah’s home brew yacht project going. No fun for the people within that radius who have to seek shelter either on the roof of single story homes or above the second story of one of the many high rises that China has taken to building, but not exactly the tsunami that took out Japan’s nuclear power plant.

Capacity of dam = 39.3 cu km
Height of flood water = 4 m

Circular area covered by 4 m of flood water
= 39.3 cu km / (4 m * 1 km / 1000 m)
= 39.3 cu km / 0.004 km
= 9825 sq km.

Radius of area covered by 4 m (~12 ft) of flood water
= square root (9825 sq km / (pi = 3.14) )
= square root (3128 sq km)
= 56 km
~ 34 miles

But the reality is likely that after a bomb attack, the super thick base (131 ft, according to Wikipedia) would not be completely washed away, and only the top portion of the dam would release the water behind it. Note even the concrete debris would serve as an imperfect dam, since it would likely settle after traveling a short distance.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Three_Gorges_Dam

And that is the likely reason the dambuster attack was such a fizzle in terms of human carnage. It succeeded in cutting hydroelectric power to German industry for a period of time, but as part of the meatgrinder aspect of war, it was a footnote.

Note also that a deliberate release by dam operators is a different issue. Then, every drop of water would release to the surrounding area. This was done during WWII by the Nationalists during the Sino-Japanese War as part of a scorched earth strategy, and ~500K Chinese civilians are said to have died.

I have been praying every night to God to bring his terrible swift sword and break open the The Gorges Dam. Perhaps he is heeding my prayer. Lord hear my prayer. Amen.

Welcome. I’m neither Chinese nor resident in China, so my knowledge comes from third hand sources.

Possibly. But what would the disinformation be or prove?

I don't have enough time in the day to get into the heads of random youtube kooks spinning up fake news on a channel that apparently used to help vietnamese people repair clothing, but I apparently do have enough time in the day to give it a few moments' consideration, decide it's a kook channel, and then comment on it on FR. Go figure.

If I were to take a stab at a plausible reason for the videos to be up on this channel, it's to present a plausible internet presence and view history that will later be used for some sort of nefarious purpose, either to plant a news story in more legitimate media, to be used for malware purposes, or possibly to collect data on site viewers to see where the people who absorb fake news are found.

This satellite image shows the weather front involved.

http://www.jma.go.jp/en/gms/

If you look for China on this image, you’ll notice an east-west band of dull grey cloud and that’s a stationary front between quite warm subtropical air that has covered the south (around 65 to 70 deg F) and arctic air that has been spreading into the northeast from Mongolia. I found a weather map on the same site and it shows a frontal wave near Wuhan moving east, probably another one forming over the mountains further west. So this could keep up for several days.

I don’t know how quickly they could totally evacuate Wuhan or further downstream Shanghai (a city of over 20 million, not sure how many of those would need to leave to avoid being drowned, probably at least half). Even with the sort of total control this government has, it would take a day or two at a minimum; that water would rush into Wuhan fairly fast you would think maybe 3-6 hours would be all it would take, Shanghai probably closer to 24 hours.

Will China then turn inward or

Care for their people or go to war?

Hmm.

Does this turn in to a food fight?
