That's also my take. I think the show of force is intended to draw out people into a "we have guns, too" response. Then the left gets the photo ops that it wants, to scare people about all of those violent, Trump-supporting gun maniacs, and prepare the way for more gun bans and confiscations.

I will never understand why Trump did not declare the insurrection act. If the events of the last 4 years are NOT insurrection, then what the hell is???
To: lowbuck
Trump will declare the “Insurection Act” give the government to Flynn or another general and the election fraud issue will go to a military tribunal.
He said he would NOT involve the Insurrection Act unless he exhausted all other options so he is at that point now.
