GET WORK - GO BROKE...
I lost interest in baseball when the Dodgers deserted me and moved out of Ebbets Field in Brooklyn.
‘At 70 years old I’ve been a life-long Reds fan’
the Reds need to go back to those classic uniforms of the late fifties and early sixties, the vests with the red sleeves and the red pinstriped hats...and reanimate the rotation of Jay, O’Toole, and Purkey...
‘I lost interest in baseball when the Dodgers deserted me and moved out of Ebbets Field in Brooklyn.’
on September 8, 1957, I attended, with my father and grandfather, the last Dodger-Giant game ever played in NY, at the Polo Grounds, which the Giants pulled out, 3-2...what a surreal, sad and somber experience, and to my mind an everlasting wound to baseball...
Like when the Browns moved to Baltimore.
Some grudges we hold to the grave.
Next up, The Masters.
I’ve been to Atlanta thrice in business in buckhead under Covid
It has no question hurt business in hotels and restaurants
The intercontinental where I stay is barely occupied and most restaurants except the Blue Ridge grill which I favor are damaged
The folks at Augusta don’t need the public, the media or the PGA. The Masters isn’t a PGA event.
But it is considered a Major. 1 of 4. And for most pro golfers, the only major that counts.
Been played for 87 years.
If Augusta National bows out, then the PGA is stuck between a rock and a hard place. We’ll find out just how woke they are
Wow! What year was that? About 1958?
