Most who tested the ev1 liked it and wanted to buy it.
GM refused to sell them. They demanded all of them back at the end. They destroyed them despite the overwhelmingly psitive response from people.
They will just make it ilegal for commercial mechanics to repair them. They will make the hazmat charges so high to dispose of various chemicals it will make repairs by others not worth it.
Rare Earth Minerals are not rare, production here is severely limited by the same group of greenies that are forcing EV vehicles on us.
“an hour or two”? More like 8-10 fir a full charge.
GM. I’ll pass.
I am no genius but electric vehicles that will get electricity from wind and solar is not close to sufficient let alone the fact it takes petroleum to make all components. Obviously, the eco Nazis and their corporate woke whores don’t think things out and simply don’t care because they are slaves to the left and globalism.
Cars are too complex. They depreciate too quickly. Too expensive to repair. I am sick of the gee wiz how cool BS. This is going to fail but the government will force this on us.
Now after land has been used as an evaporation pond can it be used for anything else or is it contaminated?
Very strange. Maybe the cost and hassle of supporting the vehicles wasn’t worth it.
People BEGGED GM to keep them and pay for them. They were that loved by most of the testers.
Should gas stations be near electricity 🤔 ?
Tesla says their model 3 will get ~200 miles of range in 15 minutes with their version 3 supercharger which is 250KWH. The 350KWH DC fast chargers being developed will provide a 200 mile range in about 10 minutes. These chargers are still mostly vaporware in my part of the country..

So what. I can get 400 miles in five minutes from a gas pump.
There is no justification for pushing these EV cars on consumers who are more than happy with gasoline.
Google is busy patenting it, they call it “Enhanced Coulomb Repulsion”

You asked how long it takes to charge so I thought I would respond. I am not going to ditch my ICE cars anytime soon since I live in a winter wonder land.
Appreciate your thoughtful reply that confirmed EV charging times.
You are welcome. My take is EV’s are going to be metro area commuter cars for the foreseeable future. Even with improved charging times, there is still a lot of drawbacks taking them on extended road trips. The range listing is for ideal conditions..
Nice. Pull in to a service station, get a 10 minute charge, go down the road for a bit over an hour, get a 10 minute charge, go down the road for a bit over an hour, get a 10 minute charge...
Modify that to “in the winter go down the road for about 45 minutes get a 10 minute charge...”
/sarcasm (did I need to add that?)
