Nevada basin and range province is loaded with REE as is the Canadian shield the greens via the EPA have used lawfare to stop America from getting at our resources it is not a lack of reserves here it is political. Most of the new nanotech is carbon based and cobalt free. Tesla next gen packs with higher density and more cycle life are cobalt and lanthium free. There power priced modules will be LiFePO4 based which also are cobalt and REE free. The Tesla induction motors unlike Toyota already are by their induction design rare earth elements free. ONLY perm mag motors use REEs particularly neodymium. Which can be reached from coal ash along with uranium the USA has millions of metric tons of coal ash piles ripe for mining again it’s politics not science or technology that is the issue.
