I got bit back in the 60’s, big boy hit me right behind the left knee. Me and some buddies were Dove hunting and I was looking for a bird I knocked down and managed to step right on top of him. The bite put me in the hospital for about a week, the reaction to the anti-venom put me in the hospital for another week. Lucky me I’m the 1-1000 allergic to anti-venom.
A lil snake shot.
“Hope he never comes across a cotton mouth.”
Yep, I had a couple of experiences with them when I lived in Tennessee. They are very aggressive but a 12 gauge shotgun dispatches them very quickly.
More like frog to me.
Bet it wasnt a Mohave. He’d been in a world of hurt.
Just about all them snakes round here are Mohave Greens.
its cali
probably doesnt have guns that can be usable in under ten minutes
Hahahaha...I had the same response...
“Euthanized”!
Dear Reporter, Rattlesnakes are not poisonous. They are safe to eat. Indeed many years ago there was a Rattlesnake cannery in Tampa, Florida. They are however not safe to pick up being venomous.
It takes the bite out.
Good you’re ok. My father got bit in the late 50’s above his boot while moving some cattle. Took him 2 hours to get to Woodard hospital. Lucky he was fine. He still tells the story and it gets more bazaar every time. Still enjoy it though.
A gourmet challenged me to eat
A tiny bit of rattlesnake meat,
Remarking, "Don't look horror stricken,
You'll find it tastes a lot like chicken."
It did,
Now chicken I cannot eat.
Because it tastes like rattlesnake meat
— Ogden Nash
“...bitten by a rattlesnake when he tried to pick up the poisonous reptile using barbecue tongs.”
Rattlers are ticklish but totally humorless.
If there was one rattlesnake, would there be more of them?
It’s called a den. Usually found in rocks or under slab homes!
There was no mention about whether the Southern Kalifornia man was wearing a mask.
Governor Gruesome wants to know for statistical counts. If he dies and he wasn’t wearing a mask, then it was a COVID 18 death. And six more weeks of lockdowns.
Attention Kalifornians, snakes social distance. Unless there they are outside. Please where boots when outside and mask up for the snakes protection. Thank you, From the office Governor
I have killed many rattlesnakes. Mostly with a hoe but a few with a shotgun. I live in the countryside and kill only those near my home that could hurt my dogs. Those I encounter in my woods I just leave alone. It would be impossible to get rid of all of them and I do not desire to do this. Get near my home and of necessity I will kill the snake.
So what would be the protocol if you get bit again?
Now all his neighbors know how dumb he is.
My dad used lots of cats on his ranch. He called them the snake patrol. He has always said, they are the best snake killers and if they die who cares! Except your mom.
