I was a space-age kid, born with Sputnik, and still love it (regret not getting into rocket science, hoping a nephew will).

Beautiful view of the launch from my backyard here in Charleston. 5 minutes of amazing - even saw Falcon 9 startup of reentry rockets.

Great weather here in Central Florida. Drove about 2 miles to watch the launch from an open ranch area. Fascinating to watch both the ship and the first stage firing at the same time!

Saw my first launches back in 1956 from the beach at Patrick AFB... Watched countless launches over the intervening years...

I am in Central Florida as well and the launch was spectacular with the booster stages lighting up and starting to descend back to earth and they continued to fire the engines to slow down...

I was a space age kid with Robert Goddard and Project Orion; back then, before politics became the guiding principle in space exploration.

One of my son’s developed an interest in space as a boy thanks to Buzz Lightyear. Later the movies October Sky and The Right Stuff furthered his interest.

At five he told my wife he wanted to build rockets at NASA.

He got his first job at NASA while he was still in college and currently works on a satellite mission.
