Just practice in the thread itself. They are used to mistakes being made. I would try to help, but it’s really hard from a distance. You’ll get it and then there’ll be no stopping you! :)

One Day Closer to Christmas

Read: Philippians 3:15–21

Our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ. Philippians 3:20

“I can’t believe Christmas is over,” my dejected daughter said.

I know how she feels: The aftermath of Christmas can feel dreary. Presents have been opened. The tree and lights must come down. Listless January—and, for many, the need to shed holiday pounds—awaits. Christmas—and the breathless anticipation that comes with it—suddenly feels eons away.

A few years ago, as we were putting Christmas stuff away, I realized: no matter what the calendar says, we’re always one day closer to the next Christmas. It’s become something I say frequently.

But far more important than our temporal celebration of Christmas is the spiritual reality behind it: the salvation Jesus brought into our world and our hope for His return. Scripture talks repeatedly about watching, waiting, and longing for Christ’s second coming. I love what Paul says in Philippians 3:15–21. He contrasts the world’s way of living—with “mind[s] set on earthly things” (v. 19)—with a lifestyle shaped by hope in Jesus’ return: “Our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ” (v. 20).

The reality that our “citizenship is in heaven” changes everything, including what we hope for and how we live. That hope is fortified by the knowledge that with every passing day, we’re indeed one day closer to Jesus’ return. — Adam Holz

Father, thank You for the hope that I have in Jesus and in His return. When lesser hopes compete for my heart’s affection and attention, help me to lift my eyes to You.

Friday again, the time does fly!

Heading out to get a few groceries, and to the farm store to try to get ivermectin (good luck with that!).

You can actually get ivermectin at a farm store? For people? I’ve been looking for a stash....just in case. LOL!

Well, the store had no ivermectin in stock. As is usual now with all the Let’s Go Brandon wonderfulness going on. I am giving up looking in retail stores now...got on a wait list at ValleyVet.com.

I have been buying ivermectin for myself for over a year now. I used to buy it for my horses, and if someone told me back then that I would be taking it to prevent dying from a PlanDemic, I’d have never believed it!

I take a human size dose on toast any time I suspect very early cold symptoms.

One must have this stuff on hand prior to illness. It is very difficult to find now that word is out on its effectiveness.

Anyone venturing into buying it should be careful to only get plain ivermectin horse paste and not other wormer formulations.

Helps to be a horse person. Bought the stuff for many years. Used to be a hundred tubes of it at the store,now nothing. Crazy times.
