UGH! Invisible Touch is ultimate rock?
I guess “Billy Don’t be a Hero” is somewhere in there?
Genesis fell to crap once they became Phil Collins’ backup band.
I liked them right up ‘til then, but utterly LOATHE everything that came after.
San Pedro?
A band called The Musical Box does (did?) a real nice job of re-creating early Genesis tours, with Gabriel’s costumes and even the original slides/video from the Lamb tour.
Agreed. Had to check out the trio, but There Used to be Five was my last Genesis album. Huge fan before that. Now waiting for Steve Hackett to come around again. Dont miss him if you have a chance.
peter gabriel is even further left of Collins, who- while being a great showman- is a high maintenance drunk.
ironic- i saw Genesis at least a half dozen times from 1978 to 1986. And then there were three was the first tour i saw them and i absolutely love that album.
Going to see them in December in Madison Square Garden. that trifecta of Trick of the Tales, Wind and Wuthering and And Then there were Three is my favorite time of the band.
