I remember the images from last year showing the dam had shifted some.
It’s not going to last forever, but another year of flooding is going to weaken it even faster.
It seems to be exponential. I little at first, but gets progressively worse a lot faster as the damage is done.
The Teamsters are striking one of the beverage distributors in my hometown. That has seriously impacted the supply of my favorite malty beverage. The Golden Nugget - delicious, refreshing, Steak Taters And Gravy, STAG beer.
I saw those same images. I think the consensus was poor satellite photo quality and distortions. No structure could deform as much as those photos indicated and remain intact.
However the potential for another record year of flooding and the impact to crops is something that should concern the world. China has been one of the biggest drivers of food price inflation due to the vast quantities of food purchasing it has been doing to replace the losses, not only to last years flooding, but other plagues and diseases that hit their hog and poultry industry hard.
That looks like a disaster waiting to happen.
One of the bigger ones upstream goes, then the force of the water knocks out another one and the cumulative effect just magnifies to horrific levels.
That was my thought too.
They may simply not be able to buy enough food to feed everyone.
If three Gorges goes it takes out the Wuhan lab. So win win!
Well….. there was a recorded earlier flood. A guy named Noah was chronicled as well.
California also experiencing drought/water shortages and water allocated to farming areas have been slashed. This will also have an impact of food supplies.

Also, too many people are smoking pot and can’t pass the drug tests to get CDL-1 & CDL-2 licenses to replace pre-Covid truckers who are not going back to work, since the socialist goobermint is paying them more to stay home, than go back to work.
If they want more food haulers, maybe more states should drop the $300/week unemployment bonus.
If 3 Gorges failed it wouldn’t matter that everyone forgets Covid. A disaster of that magnitude would absolutely destroy the CCP in the eyes of the Chinese people. That would bring its own justice of a sort and certainly more than any international condemnation or censor could.
I've always considered myself as a defensive, cautious, and safety conscientious driver.
With the legalization of pot smoking in many states, I am now of the belief that I need to invest in a high definition dash camera.
You're right about the pre-covid CDL drivers having to maintain their license by remaining 'drug free',
but also, after a year and a half of self-indulgent lay-off status, many of those same drivers might not pass a CDL "drug free" test.
And yes, many of these same truckers could make as much income by staying at home on unemployment, remain safe off road, and continue living off the government's largess.
