He didn’t miss anything.
CAN’T MAKE THIS UP!
Pretty cool story. I like his music in small doses. Does seem like a nice person.
Should have pinged you.
Anyone remember that one?
She was certainly a talented singer back then. I don’t know much of anything about her today. She recorded at least one album of songs with Tony Bennett, before his voice succumbed to Alzheimers.
k.d. was most likely, surrounded by people telling her everything she said and did was ‘wonderful, marvelous’.She, like many performers at the crown of their careers probably became snippy and intolerant because she could get away with ugly behavior as long as the concert money kept flowing. Last time I saw k.d., I thought I was looking at Ted Cruz.
Yes, I remember that. I also remember when the clueless NY Times referred to him as “Mr. Loaf” in an article.
She’s from Consort, not too far from the base of Wainwright, where I did my battle school.
My buddy in the platoon was from there as well, so I went with him one weekend when he had leave. They had a sign saying home of K.D. Lang etc, but it’s long gone now, and nobody likes her.
She dissed hard on Alberta beef and that was it, bye bye career around these parts.
Saw her live in the UK at her peak. All she wanted to do was talk about being a les and flirt with the audience members. It was nauseating.
K.d. Lang is a good singer, but unfortunately, the usual politically-driven music world nutcase.
He may be nice, buy I find his music to be terrible. But I'd try listening to his album with Stonet & Metaloaf.
Holy cow, I’d forgotten all about that little barking moonbat!
:D
Now I’m praying for the end of time so I can end my time with you.

Meanwhile, Meatloaf remains a beloved legend to those of us who grew up on his music.
:)
/will he pay my ticket if I’m pulled over for speeding during “Bat Out Of Hell”?
I liked her early country-styled music, but she lost me when she became a pop chanteuse. Greg Leisz was in her first band, and he’s a multi-talent on dobro and pedal steel. He later played with jazz guitarist Bill Frissell.
He probably would.
The paradise song is downright hilarious.
When he was at the dinner in Rocky Horror Picture Show, it wasn’t a vegetarian meal, as I recall.
I always felt so sorry for Karla DeVito.
He’d nearly eat her face during that one.
:D
