I’m about 60 miles from the epicenter, but our granite mountains don’t dull the shaking at all. The original quake was rather frightening. My grandson (8years old) was in tears. We’ve felt many aftershocks since. The Golden Retriever isn’t very happy at the moment either.
I’m in Bakersfield. We judge earthquakes by whether or not water slops out of the pool. ;)
Weirdest one I ever heard/felt. Was sitting in my living room when I swear it sounded like a train headed straight for my patio doors....then a huge CRACK. Scared the bejeezus out of me. The regular shakes and rollers don’t bother me.
